Job Summary

US Bank is seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java backend development, modern frontend technologies (React.js and Angular), microservices architecture, and cloud migration initiatives. The candidate will play a key role in modernizing existing applications, including migrating Angular-based frontends to React and supporting the transition of on-premise applications to cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and Angular.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Build responsive, reusable, and high-performance UI components using React.js.
• Enhance and maintain existing Angular applications while participating in the migration of Angular components and applications to React.
• Contribute to the design and development of new React-based frontend applications.
• Integrate applications with databases and ensure data consistency, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate in application modernization and cloud migration initiatives, transitioning applications from on-premise infrastructure to AWS cloud.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to security, performance, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Java Full Stack Developer.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Java
• Spring Boot
• Microservices Architecture
• Kafka
• Apache Camel
• Jolt
• Hands-on experience with:
• React.js
• Angular
• JavaScript
• HTML5
• CSS3
• Experience migrating frontend applications from Angular to React.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of application modernization and cloud migration strategies.
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related cloud-native services.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading or contributing to large-scale application modernization projects.
• Hands-on experience migrating applications from on-premise environments to AWS cloud.
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
