Job Overview:
Windows Delivery System Administrator is responsible for preparing pre-production Windows Servers based on a well-defined process that includes but not limited to verifying software compliance, operating system security compliance, and over-all proposed project meets pre-set requirements. The role requires coordination and execution of multiple projects, this includes prioritization of tasks, managing tickets, change control, user requests, proactive maintenance, application configuration, disaster recovery planning and testing, configuring and tuning of servers and any other associated SA tasks. The configured infrastructure is prepared and checked to ensure production quality standards are met. Windows Delivery System Administrator is responsible for coordinating between various support groups.
Responsibilities
· Build and configuration of server-based solutions including clusters
· Configuration of hardware from HP, IBM, and Dell
· Troubleshooting and resolution of faults
· Root Cause Analysis of infrastructure related issues
· Customer liaison providing support and guidance to technology teams
· Attendance and participation of project meetings
· Monitoring of infrastructure capacity
· Project-driven application deployments
· Adherence to Citi Engineering build standards and Citi Information Security standards
· DR testing and documentation
· Production Handovers & Procedural checks
· Produce status reports
· Maintain team documentation and procedures
· Review projects to make sure they meet specific criteria.
· Install applications and software using automation.
· Communicate and coordinate with application teams, solutions architects, datacenters, project managers, database admins, and other various stakeholders.
· Run and interpret compliance reports.
· Remediate vulnerabilities.
· Remediate OS related performance issues.
· Remediate failed compliance agents on servers.
Qualifications:
· Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
· Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline
· Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
· Fluent English
· Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory
· Strong organization and planning skills
· Able to work individually and in teams
· Ability to remain calm and objective in a high-pressure environment
· Experience of working in a heavily controls-focused environment highly desirable
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
