We are currently seeking a SAP Data Architect - Analytics & Data Migration to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

SAP Data Architect – Analytics & Data Migration
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic SAP Data Architect to lead the end-to-end data migration and analytics architecture efforts in our S/4HANA transformation programs. This role is pivotal in designing and executing data strategies, ensuring seamless data migration from legacy systems, and enabling advanced analytics capabilities using SAP and non-SAP tools.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Data Architecture & Strategy:
•    Define and implement enterprise-wide SAP data architecture standards, governance, and frameworks
•    Design robust and scalable data models aligned with S/4HANA best practices (e.g., CDS Views, ACDOCA, etc.)
•    Align data architecture with business process needs, reporting requirements, and compliance standards
•    Data Migration Planning & Execution:
•    Lead the data migration strategy—including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of master and transactional data from legacy systems (ECC, non-SAP)
•    Work with SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, BODS, Information Steward, and/or 3rd-party tools (e.g., Syniti, Informatica)
•    Oversee data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes
•    Manage mock runs, data cutover planning, and execution for go-live
•    Analytics & Reporting:
•    Define the analytics roadmap for S/4HANA using tools like SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or third-party BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau)
•    Implement data integration frameworks (ODP, SLT, API-based) for real-time or batch reporting
•    Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, dashboards, and data visualization needs
•    Stakeholder & Project Leadership:
•    Collaborate with enterprise architects, functional leads, and business users to drive data design decisions
•    Lead workshops to define data migration scope, data governance models, and transformation rules
•    Support development of data governance policies and ownership models
Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
•    8–12 years of experience in SAP Data Architecture, with strong hands-on involvement in S/4HANA programs
•    Proven expertise in data migration projects, including greenfield, brownfield, and hybrid scenarios
•    Deep understanding of SAP data structures, IDOCs, LSMW, BAPIs, and staging frameworks
•    Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data quality tools, and metadata management
•    Strong knowledge of SAP Analytics tools, such as BW/4HANA, SAC, HANA Native Modeling
•    Solid understanding of data governance, data privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and compliance frameworks
Preferred Skills:
•    Experience with Cloud Migrations (e.g., RISE with SAP, Azure, AWS)
•    Exposure to SAP MDG (Master Data Governance)
•    Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
•    SAP certifications in S/4HANA, BODS, or Data Architect roles is a plus

•    Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives
•    Leadership and mentoring capabilities for junior data engineers/analysts
