We are currently seeking a Service Delivery Manager to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).
Role: Service Delivery Manager
Overview -
Looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong service delivery background to lead a strategic onsite presence in Chennai. This role requires a decisive yet diplomatic leader who can balance high-level stakeholder management with NTT DATA delivery governance. Will be responsible for driving account mining and revenue growth while safeguarding the quality of NTT DATA’s service delivery. This is a Chennai-based position requiring a minimum of 3 days/week at the client site, focusing on resources, sub-contractor management, resource tracking, and cross-functional coordination within the NTT DATA governance framework.
Responsibilities -
1. Client proximity and business development
1.a On‑site engagement - Regularly present at the client offices to build trust with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
1.b Account growth - Proactively identify upsell, cross‑sell and new project opportunities; collaborate with local and NTT DATA business stakeholders.
1.c Stakeholder management - Act as the spoc for NTT DATA & WBG stakeholder; manage expectations, escalate issues, and negotiate scope changes.
1.d Visibility & positioning - Represent NTT DATA in governance forums, steering committees and executive reviews; present performance, roadmap and value propositions.
2. Team oversight and transition strategy
2.a Delivery governance - Supervise subcontracted professionals and business partner/third‑party suppliers; ensure SLAs, quality standards and delivery cadence are met.
2.b People leadership - Coach and align local delivery leads; manage performance, career progression and local resource planning.
2.c Operational controls Implement local reporting, risk registers, change control and cost governance to consolidate revenue and improve margins.
3. Cross‑functional alignment and reporting
3.a Internal coordination - Work closely with NTT DATA stakeholders, HR, Legal, Finance and Global Delivery to operationalize activities.
3.b Reporting - Provide weekly on‑site updates, monthly account performance reports and quarterly transition progress to the global account management.
3.c Compliance & contract - Support contract negotiations, statement of work definitions and ensure compliance with local labour and procurement policies.
Requirements -
1. Bachelor's degree (Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication/ Information Science/Telecommunications)
2. 12+ years of experience in project management, staffing engagement & governance solutions
3. Good understanding and hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale applications and data engineering
4. Proven knowledge in cloud-native and DevOps-driven environments
5. Relevant Experience - Minimum 5+ years
6. Critical thinker and good problem-solver
7. Good verbal and written communication skills
8. Good team player, self-starter, and good analytical skills
9. Good understanding about code quality, security standards, and programing best practices
10. Certification (added advantage)
10.a. PMP
10.b. ITIL
10.c. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PSM
Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)
1. Client Relationship Management, Project Management, Service Delivery & SLA Management,
2. People Management, Financial (P&L, margins, tracks cost and margin impacts)
3. Communication & Presentation Expert and delivers clear executive-level presentations
4. HR/Legal Compliance, Navigates staff issues and statutory requirements
