We are currently seeking a Sr. QA Engineer to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

Role - Senior QA Engineer
8. Specialization - Functional QA / Enterprise Application Testing / Procurement & Banking

9. Responsibilities - 
a) Requirement Analysis – Analyze User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and functional documentation to identify test scenarios, dependencies, inconsistencies, and requirement gaps.
b) Test Design & Execution – Design, document, maintain, and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, smoke, and regression test cases.
c) Business Process Validation – Validate STEP 2.0 business processes across modules, integrations, roles, permissions, business rules, and workflow configurations.
d) Defect Management – Log, document, investigate, and track defects in Azure DevOps with reproducible steps, expected/actual results, supporting evidence, and functional context.
e) Regression & Defect Retesting – Perform defect retesting and regression testing while assessing potential downstream impacts across related functionalities.
f) Requirements Traceability – Maintain end-to-end traceability between User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Test Cases, Test Executions, and Bugs.
g) Proactively identify, communicate, and escalate quality risks, blockers, dependencies, and impediments impacting testing or delivery timelines.
h) Working closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, QA teams, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate delivery.
i) Provide timely updates on test execution, defects, quality risks, blockers, dependencies, and overall QA progress during Agile ceremonies.
j) Participate in UAT activities including scenario preparation, business workflow validation, defect support, and coordination with business users.
k) Working autonomously and proactively to ensure continuity and quality of QA activities in a complex and continuously changing project environment.

10. Requirements - 
a) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
b) Overall 10+ years of IT industry experice and minimum 6+ years of relevant Software Quality Assurance experience, preferably in a Senior QA Engineer / Senior Functional Test Analyst capacity.
c) Good hands-on experience in functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
d) Test Management – Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Boards and Test Plans for requirements, test case management, execution, defect tracking, and traceability.
e) Domain – Experience in Procurement and/or Banking/Financial Services projects.
f) Technical Testing – Experience validating web applications, system integrations, APIs, business rules, workflows, and role-based access controls.
g) Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, logs, and diagnostic techniques to support defect investigation and root-cause analysis.
h) Ability to understand complex enterprise processes and analyze dependencies across multiple functionalities and modules.
i) Good experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and distributed cross-functional teams.
k) Ability to independently manage QA activities, competing priorities, changing requirements, and delivery commitments with minimal supervision.

11. Mandatory Skills
a) Testing – Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, End-to-End Testing
b) Test Management – Azure DevOps Boards, Azure DevOps Test Plans, Defect Management, Requirements Traceability
c) Technical Knowledge – Web Application Testing, API Testing/Validation, SQL, Business Rules, Role-Based Access Control
d) Domain – Procurement and/or Banking/Financial Services
e) Methodology – Agile/Scrum, STLC, QA Principles and Test Design Techniques
f) Functional Analysis, Defect Investigation, Risk Identification, Root-Cause Analysis

12. Desirable Skills
a) Test Automation – Basic hands-on knowledge of Playwright and JavaScript
b) Observability – Experience with Dynatrace or equivalent application monitoring/observability platforms
c) Technical Troubleshooting – Log analysis, error identification, and enterprise application troubleshooting
d) Integration Testing – Experience testing enterprise integrations and interconnected business workflows

13. Soft Skills
a) Strong technical judgment with the ability to make timely, evidence-based decisions and take ownership of technical outcomes.
b) English proficiency, includes verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
c) Good analytical, problem-solving and structured troubleshooting capabilities, particularly during critical situations.
d) Proactive approach to identifying technical risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
e) Commitment to engineering discipline, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and high-quality delivery.
