We are currently seeking a Director of Security Consulting to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming (US-WY), United States (US).

Overview of Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our Cyber Security Government Consulting practice. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for overseeing the team's operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients, and driving sales growth to expand our market presence within the government sector. Your strategic vision and technical expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping our consulting services, enhancing our client's cybersecurity posture, and helping our clients achieve and maintain their regulatory compliance.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and support new client pursuits in the form of meetings, writing RFP’s, curating and developing reusable content, collaborating with practice and sales leaders to generate appropriate solutions and approaches to meeting clients’ stated needs.
  • Create a strong partnership with our Project Directors and Business Development team to assure that the practice has both the capabilities as well as the capacity to meet forecasted business needs.
  • Own contractual delivery and financial performance of all Security Services projects.
  • Provide strong leadership to the cyber security consulting team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and mentor team members to ensure professional development and overall success. Maintaining a capable team with high morale is vital to the business.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs, and tailoring our consulting services to address their unique cybersecurity challenges. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of cyber security principles, industry best practices, and emerging trends to guide the team in delivering high-quality consulting services. Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, risk assessments, incident response plans, and security awareness programs. Mature the Security Services practice methodologies and collateral used to respond to opportunities and deliver to our clients.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand the client base and drive revenue growth. Identify new business opportunities, nurture leads, and participate in client RFP responses and oral presentations. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to execute go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
  • Oversee the successful execution of cybersecurity consulting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards. Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement appropriate solutions to ensure project success.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies. Leverage this knowledge to continuously improve our consulting offerings and position our group as a thought leader in the cyber security industry.
  • Ensure that all consulting engagements comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Advise clients on meeting compliance requirements and maintaining robust cybersecurity practices.
  • Provide billable direct project support by providing security consulting services for a government client.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in cyber security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least twelve (12) years of experience working in Cybersecurity
  • At least ten (10) years of experience creating innovative Cybersecurity solutions
  • At least ten (10) years consulting to government clients
  • At least (5) years experience working with Healthcare systems
  • At least three (3) years of involvement in business development for a government consulting business(s).
  • At least three (3) years of experience in managing a cyber security consulting team and driving sales growth in a consulting environment.
  • At least five (5) years of Leadership and/or Project management expertise, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
  • In-depth knowledge of MMIS, NIST, IRS, PCI/DSS security and privacy considerations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, executives, and internal teams is vital to being successful in the role.
  • Experience managing security at an executive level, such as a CISO, CSO, or CIRO.
  • Project management expertise, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and identify business opportunities.
