We are currently seeking a Routing & Switching - Network Engineering Advisor to join our team in China, Shanghai (CN-SH), China (CN).

Job Description – Regional Network SPOC, China & Hong Kong

Position Title: Regional Network SPOC  – China & Hong Kong
Location: China / Shanghai, working at the office is mandatory
Role Type: Regional Technical Lead
Language: English required; Mandarin strongly preferred
Service Scope: Managed Network Services – China & Hong Kong

Role Purpose

The Regional Network SPOC will serve as the senior regional technical lead and escalation point for SONY’s managed network services across China and Hong Kong.

The role is responsible for providing regional technical leadership, operational oversight, senior-level incident and change support, and technical coordination between SONY stakeholders and NTT DATA delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Regional Technical Leadership

Act as the senior technical representative for managed network services across China/Hong Kong and provide regional technical leadership, guidance and subject matter expertise.

P1/P2 Incident Support

Participate in P1 incident bridges and P2 incidents as required, providing senior-level troubleshooting guidance, technical decision support and escalation leadership.

Senior Technical Escalation

Serve as the senior regional escalation point for complex, high-impact or systemic network issues and coordinate with NTT DATA L2/L3 teams, OEMs and SONY stakeholders where required.

Cisco ISE / Network Access Control

Provide direct technical support for Cisco ISE, including troubleshooting, operational support, change impact assessment, policy/configuration review and service restoration.

Cisco Firepower / Firewall

Provide direct technical support and senior escalation capability for Cisco Firepower / FTD, including incident troubleshooting, configuration/change review and service restoration. Familiarization on NGFW like Palo Alto and Fortigates(Fortimanager) with policy configuration, rule analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies

DDI – Infoblox

Provide hands-on technical capability for DNS, DHCP and IPAM using Infoblox, beyond basic DNS record administration. Expected capability should include troubleshooting, platform-level support, change assessment and upgrade/maintenance knowledge.

Routing & Switching

Provide strong Cisco routing and switching expertise for LAN/WAN operations, troubleshooting, configuration review, change support and capacity/performance analysis. Hands-on experience with packet capture methodologies, including configuring Cisco SPAN for traffic mirroring, and utilizing analysis tools like Wireshark / Fiddler for deep-dive troubleshooting.

Change Management

Technically review significant regional network changes, assess implementation and rollback plans, identify risks and provide recommendations before execution.

Large-Scale Network Changes

Support and technically validate bulk configuration changes and large-scale switch deployments affecting China/HK.

Automation / Scripting

Develop, review or validate scripts used for repetitive or large-scale network configuration activities. Ensure scripts are technically verified and tested before production execution.

Operational Oversight

Provide oversight of regional network operations to ensure alignment with SONY global standards, regional requirements and agreed operational processes.

Regional / Global Alignment

Ensure China/HK network practices remain aligned with global service delivery, incident, problem and change management processes.

SONY Stakeholder Engagement

Maintain effective technical relationships with SONY China/HK network and platform stakeholders and represent NTT DATA in technical discussions.

Continuous Improvement

Identify and recommend opportunities to improve network stability, performance, resilience, operational efficiency and automation.
