We are currently seeking a Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Acquisitions and Assistance (A&A) Instructor to join our team in Crystal City, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).


As a Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Acquisitions and Assistance (A&A) Instructor you will apply adult learning methods by delivering training to the client's personnel who in turn provide Acquisition and Assistance (procurement) training and support to the vital client Missions around the world. You will instruct across a broad range of acquisition and assistance (A&A) subjects including writing grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, other procurement activities, and preparing amendments in support of the Mission. Training will cover A&A business processes and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).


Your responsibilities as a instructor will include the following:

  • Delivers training programs to assigned operational areas. Training delivery may include a mix of face-to-face instruction and virtual classroom environments.
  • Identifies appropriate training methodologies based on audience learning styles. Training methodologies may include group lecture, role play, simulation exercises, self-study, computer-based training, etc.
  • May be asked to recommend course content modifications to meet the changing needs of assigned operational area and/or to improve upon the quality of existing content.
  • Maintain proficiency in tools and procedures relative to the needs of the assigned operational area.
  • Updates and maintains training programs' instructional activities and quizzes with subject matter experts, managers, technical writers, and instructional designers.
  • Administer tools to measure effectiveness of the training program and make recommendations of improvements, based on feedback data, to enhance quality of programs


Required Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in training, instruction, technical, management, and/or facilitation skills. With experience that includes:
  • 1 or more years of experience with acquisition business processes and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • 1 or more years of experience with Applying adult training methodology for training professionals in the A&A process
  • Masters Degree in a Business, Training, or Facilitation related field
  • U.S. Citizen with a Secret (or higher) Clearance or (Interim required to start)


Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to work with and train personnel considering diversity and cultural differences.
  • Experience working with USAID, State Department, or other agencies abroad
  • Experience delivering online, in-person, video conference, and hybrid instruction
