We are currently seeking a Director of Alliances (Microsoft, Salesforce, etc) for Retail & Media verticals - Remote role in USA to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Industry Alliance Director - Commercial Industries:  

The primary charter for this position is to support the growth of Strategic Alliances within the Commercial Industries (CI) across NTT DATA Services for North America.  

Commercial Industries (CI)  includes the following segments: Retail, Transportation, Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Travel and Hospitality. 

Location:  - Remote role located within the US. 

Position Responsibilities:

Overall, this person has a solid understanding of the Commercial industries & segments as noted above; an understanding of the technology issues facing these industries today and what might be the issues in the future.  As the Industry Alliance Director, you will work directly with our clients to understand their business and issues while also developing relationships with our Strategic Alliance partners to work together in building solutions. 

The overall Strategic Alliance Partnership program includes Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Google Cloud Platform, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Snowflake, VMware, IBM, Red Hat, and other emerging alliances.

For CI, the main alliances include but are not limited to ServiceNow, Microsoft, IBM, & Salesforce.

Position's General Duties and Tasks Required:

  • Key relationship builder with industry leadership inside the Strategic Alliance Partners and inside the assigned Strategic Business Unit (SBU) / industry vertical
  • Focus on two to three Strategic Alliances within the SBU/vertical (driving 20-30% pipeline growth within the key Alliance Partners)
  • Collaborating on joint solution development with our competency team: taking a pre-existing digital horizontal offering and ensuring an industry-specific lens
  • Campaign execution: collaboration with the Digital Transformation Services (DTS) Platform Specialist teams and practice leads
  • Reporting directly to the Global Strategic Alliances team and matrixed (dotted line) into the SBU
  • Complete alignment with sales leaders and sales teams within the SBU; attend all SBU pipeline meetings, other SBU appropriate meetings and facilitate Alliance Partner attach at the field level
  • Ideal candidate is a seasoned industry expert with technical prowess
  • Serve as a vehicle to feed and seed opportunities that SBU Sales Executives and DTS Platform Specialists will work to close win
  • Identify joint opportunities in our current customer base with joint offerings
  • Target specific named accounts, both current and new logo accounts, with our Alliance Partners
  • Be an advocate for the Alliance Partner within the SBU and be able to differentiate the Alliance Partner’s solutions and value
  • Advance the connectivity between the Alliance Partner and the SBU
  • Be the single point of contact for the SBU team on how to navigate within our Strategic Alliance Partners


  • 8-10 years of alliance experience specifically in the Commercial Industries verticals
  • Ability to develop go-to-market ideas or solutions working with our partners at AWS, Google, etc. and bringing these solutions to our clients.
  • Expanding existing relationships and developing trust with our clients.
  • Understanding the International Business and/or Commercial Industries, technology solutions for these industries, what is facing them today, and what are the technology issues they will face in the future.
  • Alliance experience within the International Business and/or Commercial Industries is preferred.
  • Hyper-scalers experience preferred.
  • Pre-identified relationships in MS, AWS, Google
  • Offering development capability
  • GTM experience
  • Prefer manufacturing and cloud.
  • Cloud experience required and how cloud enables business transformation and modernization.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience working with the development of Alliance relationships within Commercial Industries (CI).
