NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Fleet Maintenance Engineering Technician to support our team in our Dover, NH office. The successful candidate will perform non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity, using operational precedents that are not fully applicable, such assignments that are typically parts of broader assignments, are screened to eliminate unusual design problems. The technician may plan such assignments and receives technical advice from a supervisor or engineer.

 

Roles and Responsibilties:

  • Conduct Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis to determine new system maintenance requirements.
  • Develop or revise documents by researching, extracting and analyzing a variety of information from operating manuals, drawings, technical manuals, equipment specifications, and configuration data.
  • Apply maintenance engineering practices to develop, prepare, or recommend written planned maintenance procedures on shipboard components and systems.
  • Review Technical Feedback Reports and develop proposed Type Commander screening recommendations.

 

Education

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent. Technical School diploma required which includes Navy Submarine School, Nuclear Power School or Naval Shipyard Apprentice Program. Navy rate of E6 in a technical rating

 

Required Experience

  • Typically requires 6 years relevant experience

 

Required Experience and Skills

  • 4+ years relevant experience operating and maintaining shipboard equipment and systems, working within the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), and the 3M System
  • 4+ Experienced in the maintenance of and/or operation of submarine or surface ship hull, mechanical or electrical (HM&E) systems. This experience has been accumulated while on active duty in the military or while serving in a shipyard
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical/electronic systems
  • 3+ years experience with Technical Feedback Report (TFBR) system
  • 2+ years of experience in HM&E or Combat Weapons System components
  • US citizenship required
  • Must have an Active Secret clearance

 

Desired Skills

  • Qualified as Enlisted or Officer Warfare
  • Qualified as Work Center Supervisor, Divisional or Departmental
  • Previous duties as a Ship's 3-M Coordinator is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Navy PMS revision, development and quality reviews
