Job Summary:
The Agile Coach will work with Client Delivery Teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and the NTT DATA Business Agility Enablement team to assist with ongoing deployment of Agile practices across clients. The Agile Coach will work diligently as a change agent, creating an environment of continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and developing a compelling case for change. In fulfilling this role, the selected candidate will work directly with teams to deliver training, coaching, and written documentation on Agile practices, tools, and techniques to support our goal of returning the highest possible value to our businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Coach and train Scrum throughout the organization as the primary Agile framework
- Coach and train not only at the delivery team level but at the program, and enterprise level
- Mentor Teams and scrum masters across Scrum of Scrums and Team of Teams
- Be able to conduct Big room release planning across programs
- Be able to coordinate & coach Continuous Integration with DevOps practices
- Implementing Agile process, principles and practices across all levels and departments in an organization
- Act as champion and evangelist of Agile principles and values
- Share the responsibility for expanding the understanding and practice of Agile practices principles throughout the entire organization
- Keep current on new trends in Agile practices and supporting technology solutions
- Collaborate directly with scrum teams to coach and guide them on the mechanics of Agile methods to achieve optimal team effectiveness
- Deliver hands-on coaching of individual scrum teams in planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development
- Work with the Agile Management Office to create and deliver methods, training, templates and tools designed to enhance Allegis’ adoption of Agile approaches and the maximum return of value to our businesses
- Work with delivery leadership to assist with the rollout and training of new Agile teams
- Work with leadership and scrum teams to remove department and enterprise-wide systematic obstacles that block our ability to achieve sustainable increases in velocity and team efficiency
Experience and skills required
- 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach
- Must have certification as either a Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach (CSC), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agilist.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration, or other technical discipline.
- Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to act as point of contact for all external and internal clients/stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong communication, facilitation, persuasion and influence, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience delivering and supporting IT projects in the financial/Banking domain.
