Redhat OCP Engineer Role

More than 5 years of Red Hat OpenShift Engineer experience to design, implement, and maintain the enterprise-scale Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments. In this role, you will bridge the gap between application development and modern infrastructure, ensuring cluster high availability, security hardening, and deployment automation. You will collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application deployments, high cluster availability, and modern GitOps workflows.

 

Job Description

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Deploy, configure, upgrade, and maintain multi-cluster Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) environments.
  • Design, develop, and deploy Java applications in containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Manage cloud-native deployment workflows using tools like Argo CD (OpenShift GitOps) and integrate them with enterprise CI/CD systems.
  • Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Participate along with Technical Lead in application design and create technical documentation like flow diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues like database performance, database capacity, replication, and other data-related issues.
  • Optimize process for speed and efficiency, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring the application can handle the volume, velocity, and variety of data.
  • Work with clients to deliver scalable and maintainable code.
  • Understand the infrastructure requirements needed for the application.
  • Work on developing streamlined CI/CD process for application development.

 

You will need to show us that you can:

  • Work closely with business analysts, data scientists and IT teams to understand application requirements and deliver the product that supports business goals.
  • Technical support for application, troubleshooting issues and ensuring the continuous availability and reliability.
  • Take ownership of code and End to End process from development, testing and deployment.
  • Deep operational knowledge of Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) internals.
  • Experience running clusters on at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premises infrastructure (VMware, Bare-Metal).
  • Document the requirements of the system and manage its development.
  • Be good Team member and support other teams proactively to achieve end result.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience managing production Kubernetes or OpenShift environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred Redhat OCP certification
