Senior Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions across Payment applications
• Design and build enterprise applications for solutions which are used across multiple application (and hence multiple business teams)
• Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures
• Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
• Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users
• Managing competing resources and priorities
• Responsible for Service delivery of the team with focus on SLAs and customer management ensuring no escalations
• Managing stakeholder’s relationship with different BU’s and ability to manage escalated issues/ potential escalation
• Own Root cause analysis provide tactical and permanent solution
• Continue process improvement across the application portfolio
• Proactive analysis to drive down outage, improve recovery time and reduce time to engage

Experience

• Solid understanding of Web based Application Support in a multi-tier architecture within Banking domain.
• Excellent Analytical and problem solving skills. Experience with business critical server application support will be an advantage.
• Expertise in trouble shooting Java/J2EE/Microservices Applications deployed on any of the industry standard Front end Application Servers such as IBM WAS,  Tomcat.
• Hands on experience on UNIX. Python based automation is a plus.
• Experience in any Industry standard Application Performance Monitoring Tool such as AppDynamics, Splunk, BMC Patrol, HP BSM, Dynatrace, etc.
• Background/previous experience in any of: Java / J2EE, Angular JS, node.js, React, Spring, DOJO, HTML, Javascript
• Cloud management knowledge
• Worked on any application migration and have a clear understanding of the process.
  Candidates with good understanding of Cloud, Oracle database, LDAP, MQ, TCP/IP Networks, Webservers, Data Centre will be preferred.
• Understanding of Spring Boot Micro-services, REST APIs
