Overview
We are seeking a Techno-Functional Business Analyst with strong banking domain knowledge and hands-on experience in APIs and database technologies. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration and data flow across banking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture functional and technical requirements for banking applications.
- Conduct workshops to elicit functional needs for banking products and systems.
- Document User Stories with clear Functional and technical and specifications.
- Analyze and map current banking processes (e.g., credit, payments, retail/corporate banking), identify inefficiencies, and propose automation enhancements.
- API Integration & Management
- Coordinate with development teams for API implementation and integration with banking systems.
- Validate API payloads, endpoints, and security compliance.
- Database & Data Analysis
- Perform SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Support data migration, ETL processes, and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Analyze data flows and create data mapping documents.
- Agile Product Backlog Management
Write user stories, prioritize backlog, coordinate sprints, and manage tickets using Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence
- System Testing & Quality Assurance
- Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing for API and database-related functionalities.
- Use tools like Postman, Swagger for API testing and validation.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Provide technical insights during solution design and architecture discussions.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to banking regulations and security standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation for APIs, data models, and integration workflows.
Required Skills
- An experienced IT professional with 8+ years, a proven track record in banking and delivery of IT enabled change
- Banking domain expertise (Customer, Retail, Corporate, Payments, Lending).
- Understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP) and API testing tools (Postman etc).
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL).
- Familiarity with data mapping, ETL processes, and data governance.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Be expert in the use of Web based technologies and Agile /Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance.
- Certifications: CBAP, Agile, or API-related certifications.
