We are currently seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team in Fort Knox, Kentucky (US-KY), United States (US).

NTT DATA is looking for a Full Stack Developer to support a critical Department of Defense program Located at Fort Knox, Kentucky to support the US Army Human Resources Command. As part of this program, the client requires support in the design, development, and cybersecurity of applications, databases, and networks that support the Human Capital Management of the US Army.


Position's General Duties and Tasks

In the role of a Full Stack Developer, and under general direction, designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code using Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and XML for software components of the web applications

  • Works with project team members to develop the concept, interface design, and architecture of the websites
  • Responsible for interface implementation integrates web applications with back-end databases
  • Deploys large web-based transaction systems using application servers
  • Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the integration of new products per production and client requirements
  • Designs, writes, and maintains unit tests such as JUnit, Jasmine, SoapUI, or Selenium

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) of the equivalent work experience
  • Possess a current Secret clearance (interim to start)
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, to include:
    • Experience with Java Design patterns (MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, etc.)
    • Experience with Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQLServer, Sybase or similar databases
    • Experience using version control tools such as Git
    • Experience supporting Java Virtual Machine (JVMs) in Unix/Linux/Windows environments
    • Experience using modern User Interface (UI) technologies such as Angular, React, and Bootstrap
    • Experience using build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and npm
    • Experience with frameworks tools such as Hibernate and Spring
  • Security+ CE – prior to start


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting DoD or Army clients in a management or leadership role
  • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of applications programming and analysis and the impact of the solutions on the business and IT functions.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of key business processes, current and future requirements, and key success factors.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business issues and needs at a leadership level and how technology supports those requirements.
  • Ability to interface with clients and gather requirements and facilitate meetings
  • Ability to convert requirements into development tasks
  • Ability to work in small, rapid-development teams
  • Ability to estimate, based on technical debt, level of effort, and complexity
  • Strong knowledge of triggers, stored procedures, third party tools, replication, clustering, and transaction monitoring.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, triggers, stored procedures, functions, synonyms, and some third party tools such as Putty, Toad, SQL Developer, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with customer in analyzing requirements 
  • Masters degree preferred
