NTT DATA Services currently seeks a PMO Lead - Frankfort, KY to join our team in Frankfort, Kentucky (US-KY), United States (US).

 

 

​The Project Management Office Lead is to serve as overall lead and point of contact for the new  Project Management Office.  This individual will work with each division to establish the PMO.  The PMO will initially be a Supportive PMO and we have laid the ground work for that to be established.  Then at some point in the future move from a Supportive PMO to a Controlling PMO and eventually to a Directive PMO. The  PMO Lead requires experience leading or developing a PMO along with overall quality assurance.  The lead should be a project management professional who has managed large-scale, complex implementation projects involving RFPs, vendors, contracts, internal staff, and/or external clients. The individual will be required to communicate with leadership.  This role is responsible for establishing best practices and process for; project initiation and planning, estimation and budgeting, project monitor and control, vendor management, staff mentorship, risk management, timely issue resolution, schedule management, stakeholder management, requirements management, change control, quality management, high-level understanding of current Microsoft .NET, SharePoint, content management, along with leadership of both solution and technical architects.

·         Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.

·         In-depth, hands on knowledge of Microsoft product suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).

·         Working knowledge of MS Project, SharePoint, TFS, and/or Project Server.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g. PMI, ISO 9000, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, CMMI).

Working knowledge of multiple software development life cycles (e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile, V-model).

Experience leading cross divisional process improvement initiatives.

Experience managing and/or conducting compliance audits, lessons learned sessions, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Experience championing and leading organizational change.

Practice to day-to-day project management.

Oversee and participate in development of technology related RFPs.

Establishing a PMO including structured project management methodology.

Work with existing Project Managers to mentor and guide them in the PM processes. 

Work with project teams to analyze data from RCA, lessons learned, corrective action, and compliance audits to identify organizational process improvement needs.

Work with senior management to establish and implement process improvement plans annually. 

Evaluate project health and assist with the development of recovery plans for troubled projects.

·         Integrating quality into the program and projects.

·         Work extensively with Microsoft Project, baseline schedules, and managing multiple projects and leveling resources in a matrix organization.

·         Continually reprioritize projects and schedules based on external changes.

·         Compile program status reports, soliciting and collecting approvals, and manage a project change control process.

·         Interact positively with the public and government officials.

·         Work closely with technology architects, application development teams and project management staff.

·         Develop plans for project management office, communications, risk management, change control, procurement, training, quality assurance, documentation, and compliance audits.

·         Create high-level program schedules, detailed work breakdown schedules, and time/cost/resource estimates.

·         Communicate and work extensively with management, sponsors, internal and external stakeholders, as well as Federal partners and IV&V vendor.

·         Provide program updates to executive governance board.

·         Establish PM process library and implement consistent templates and job aids including schedules, status reports, scorecards,

·         Develop issue/risk/jeopardy documents, impact analysis, change controls, acceptance and sign-off documents.

·         Review high-level deliverables across program in an ongoing manner.

·         Establish and monitor quality assurance practices across the PMO.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • PMP certification
  • 10+ years in IT program/project management with minimum of 5 years acquiring, managing, and/or implementing enterprise applications;
  • 5 years' experience leading, establishing, or assisting with a PMO Office;
  • 3 years working in quality assurance capacity;
