We are currently seeking a Senior AWS Python Developer - Remote to join our team in Frisco, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS Python Developer to lead the migration of our existing SnapLogic pipelines to AWS services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, cloud computing, and AWS services. You will be responsible for analyzing existing SnapLogic pipelines, designing equivalent solutions using AWS services, and ensuring seamless integration with our current infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Analysis: Review and analyze existing SnapLogic pipelines to understand their functionality, data flows, and integration points.
- Solution Design: Design and implement equivalent data integration solutions using AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and Amazon RDS.
- Data Transformation: Develop data transformation and ETL processes to replicate the functionality of SnapLogic pipelines within AWS.
- API Development: Create RESTful APIs and microservices to facilitate data exchange between systems, ensuring they align with the architecture of the existing SnapLogic pipelines.
- Testing and Validation: Implement comprehensive testing strategies to validate that the migrated workflows perform as expected. This includes unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize performance of AWS-based solutions, ensuring they meet scalability and reliability requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the new AWS architectures, data flows, and integration processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, DevOps, and QA, to ensure smooth migration and integration.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members throughout the migration process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience:
- AWS Proficiency: 5+ years of In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
- CI/CD Tools: Minimum 3+ years of Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub CI.
- Scripting Languages: 5+years Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation tasks.
- Containerization: Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
- Version Control: Minimum 3 years Proficient in using version control systems, particularly Git.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer is a plus.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Serverless Architecture: Familiarity with serverless computing and frameworks (e.g., AWS Lambda, SAM).
