We are currently seeking a Financial Analysis Senior Specialist to join our team in Fully Remote, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia (MY).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Review regular balance sheet, remediation & commentary
• Review of the balance sheet recons prepared by the outsource provider and recommending actions to senior management
• Monthly Financial reporting, e.g. distributing regular reports for the business we support (ICT)
• Responsible for analysing journals, producing data analysis and reports and assists with variance analysis.
• Plans month-end activities which includes processing of month-end journal entries and executing a variety of actions in the accounting system.
• Communicate clearly with the business/operations team to help with forecast/investigate matters and articulate the impact to the P&L
• Support internal & external audit queries
• Implements effective financial controls, including review of systems reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures.

Essential Skills:

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and detect irregularities.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance documentation.
• Communication Skills: Effectively communicating compliance requirements and policies to various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding relevant laws and regulations that impact financial operations

What would make you a good fit for this role?

• 5+ years’ work experience in a similar role
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Intermediate Excel skills, Xero experience is preferred but not essential
• Demonstrate high analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and administration skills
• Works well under pressure
• An active team player as well as lead to drive change
