We are currently seeking a Sr Scrum Master on-site (GDL) to join our team in GDL, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).
We´re looking for a Sr Scrum Master:
• Responsible for setting up and leading daily/scrum ceremony type meetings and other meetings as needed for one or more teams as part of one or more programs/projects in scope for each Scrum Master.
• Responsible to take meeting notes with or without the help of Microsoft CoPilot and convert these notes into detailed action items and convert these action items into detailed JIRA stories or sub-tasks.
• Responsible for assisting client employees/contractors by setting up meetings, creating/updating status reports, and following up on action items via Teams Chat or email. This role extends beyond traditional Scrum Master duties, encompassing Project Manager and Project Coordinator tasks to reduce operational burden and free up client employees' bandwidth for strategic effort
• Responsible for contributing towards project/program risk management and performance management by identifying risks/issues impacting the goals/objectives and SLA(s), KPI(s), etc.
• Responsible to work within the Project/Scrum Team and as needed with the Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help drive risk mitigation plans either documented formally or planned informally.
• Responsible for escalating team-level/program-level risks/issues to client employees including Senior Managers as needed and in a timely manner to help avoid further problems for the projects in scope.
• Responsible for understanding the technical processes of the SDLC to track dependencies, identify missing steps/deliverables, and contribute to weekly/monthly planning activities.
• Responsible for driving or contributing to planning efforts, both formally and informally via Microsoft Teams Chat. This includes identifying missing process steps, suggesting appropriate deliverables and templates for JIRA stories, and accounting for sufficient time in story points or planned hours.
• Responsible for ensuring each Story’s work is complete, accurate, and high-quality by understanding the goals and deliverables of each process step. Develop a quality checklist to ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality before a JIRA story moves from "in-progress" to "in-review" to "done/accepted."
• Responsible for understanding enough of the project goals, SDLC process goals and each set of inputs/outputs for a given process step to help identify/drive improvement opportunities for the overall process and its individual steps, including the expected inputs/outputs and the deliverables/templates.
• Responsible for the implementation of any process changes and improvements at team level and project level or with individual people within the team as needed.
• With the intention of being a helpful asset to the client employees the Scrum Master role is also responsible for helping client employees create presentations, escalation summaries, status reports, etc. to both executive audiences and non-executive audiences.
• Must be highly proficient in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, and Excel, including configuring or custom-building JIRA dashboards and Power BI reports for both Kanban and Scrum projects.
• Must be experienced in concurrently managing multiple projects and teams with differing maturity levels with JIRA, Scrum, & Kanban, while identifying program/project risks and people issues.
• Must be experienced enough to drive conversations with business and technical audiences regarding changing priorities, scope and the impact it has on overall project timelines, quality, etc.
• Experienced in managing time well enough to handle multiple projects, deadlines and priorities simultaneously while delivering high quality work and have the willingness to learn and improve the skills, knowledge and the quality of their individual work as well as that of others in the team.
• Must be open-minded enough to be willing & able to learn new skills and technologies to help improve one’s own performance, the team’s performance and the process execution performance.
