NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Network Security Specialist Advisor - Content Security & Proxy Engineer to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).



The Security Engineer will work as a member of a CyberSecurity Operations team defending a healthcare provider’s privately-controlled closed data and information ecosystem which directly patient care outcomes.            

•           Manage the lifecycle of security technologies, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB),

            Network Data-Loss Prevention (DLP), Malware Sandbox

•           Understand System integration with Firewalls, Proxies, DNS, Cloud API’s, SSO, Active Directory, & Anti-Malware Engines

•           Continuously identifies anomalous events & security infractions that exploit system vulnerabilities, and follows process and procedures to prevent exfiltration of company

            information or jeopardizing ecommerce and life critical programs

•           Ensures information nonrepudiation, accuracy, authenticity and prevents corruption and alteration to improve quality decision-making by management, staff and customers.

•           Provides complex analysis of potential threat, vulnerabilities, risk and recommends possible mitigations solutions.

•           Hands-on experience on various Layer7 network security technologies including but not limited to:  Proxies, NextGen Firewalls, SSL/TLS, WAF, DLP and Encryption gateways

•           Knowledge of network Layer3 (Internet Protocol) protocols, Layer4 (TCP), and understanding of Layer 5-7 application layer communications:

•           Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)/1.1 [RFC 2616], Transport Layer Security (TLS) RFC 2246 and subsequent HTTP/TLS RFCs.

•           Hands-on experience on network packet analysis inspection tools.

•           Demonstrable experience with systems installation, configuration and administration variety of operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows, OSX) and open source computer network tools.

•           Experience on computer network profiling techniques, methodologies, and both commercial and open source inspection tools like:, Qualys, Nmap, Burp, ZAP etc.

•           Use creative approaches to identify vulnerabilities that are commonly missed in security assessments.

•           Reviews, prioritizes and recommends information security improvements as they relate to the achievement of the client’s business goals and objectives.

•           Recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance information systems security.

•           Guarantee the 24x7 availability of effective security controls and resiliency of life-critical IT environment thru design, on-call rotation, and ownership of tickets through to the end.

•           Manage and audit server and network monitoring to insure system operations and security standards.

•           Apply High Reliability organization principles Preoccupation with Failure, Reluctance to Simplify, Sensitivity to Operations, Commitment to Resilience

•           Mentors junior information security personnel and other system administrators and application support.

•           Provides information assurance support to a larger organization.


•           High School Diploma or Equivalent and

•           8+ years of professional information security experience; or Combined education and relevant IT

•           At least with at least 5 in network security

•           2 year of experience in Network Protocol Analysis

•           2 year of experience with Incident Response & Mitigation

•           2 year of experience with Cyber Intelligence Analysis
