Functional Role (Job Description)

The Financial Accountant responsible for dealing with accounting functions, the primary objective of this role is to support the management with various accounting requirements, perform balance sheet reconciliation, prepare financial reports, process journal entries and closing month end.  This position will be crucial in ensuring that all financial data is accurate, compliant, and clearly communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

Education Background

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce or relevant field.

• Professional Accounting Qualification (CA/CMA or equivalent)

Work Experience

• Must have 6 - 9 years of experience in GL Accounting
• Understanding of IFRS

• Global experience of working with teams across Geographies will be given preference
• Proficiency in SAP GUI

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:        

• Manage monthly closing activities, including accurate processing of accruals and daily accounting entries.
• Manage/update FX rates and Revaluation run
• Execute intercompany transaction preparation and balance confirmation with counter parties
• Prepare and analyze monthly IC balances and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Upload within the BPC system.
• DIVA Reporting submission
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Make sure SLA’s and KPI are complied.
• Make sure all controls are complied.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
•  

Knowledge and Attributes:            

• Strong attention to details with a high degree of accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Display good planning and organizing abilities.
• Knowledge and prior exposure to international entities, foreign currency and inter-company transactions

• Demonstrated strong knowledge of accounting standard
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems like SAP and BPC

Required Experience:       

• Extensive experience in a comparable role within a global organization
• Advanced expertise in statutory accounting

• Significant proficiency in financial systems and software
