Senior Business Analyst – Salesforce CPQ to Revenue Cloud Advanced Migration
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with deep Salesforce CPQ expertise to lead discovery and requirements work for a migration from Salesforce CPQ to Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA). You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the migration preserves existing business logic while unlocking RCA's native capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end discovery sessions with sales ops, finance, and IT stakeholders to document current-state CPQ configuration, workflows, and customizations
• Produce detailed as-is process maps covering product catalog, pricing rules, discount schedules, quote templates, approval workflows, and contract lifecycle
• Identify gaps between CPQ functionality and RCA's data model (Products, Attributes, Price Books, Transaction Line Items) and document migration impact
• Define to-be business processes aligned to RCA's native features — including Product Catalog, Dynamic Revenue Orchestration, and Subscription Management
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the implementation team
• Collaborate with architects to assess custom Apex, triggers, and integrations in the current CPQ org and recommend migration or re-build strategies
• Facilitate UAT planning, write test scripts, and coordinate sign-off with business owners
• Maintain a traceability matrix linking CPQ configurations to RCA equivalents throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage stakeholder expectations around feature parity, timeline, and data migration scope
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst on Salesforce platform projects
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (product rules, pricing rules, quote templates, approval chains, amendments, renewals)
• Working knowledge of Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (formerly Industries CPQ / Vlocity) or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly on RCA's object model
• Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash (QTC) and Order-to-Revenue (OTR) processes
• Experience documenting complex business rules in decision tables, process flows (BPMN or similar), and functional specs
• Proficiency with tools like Confluence, JIRA, Lucidchart, or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret Salesforce configuration (flows, validation rules, field mappings) without writing code
Nice to Have
• Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification
• Salesforce Revenue Cloud or Industries CPQ certification
• Experience with data migration projects (CPQ quote/contract data to RCA)
• Familiarity with Salesforce DX and metadata-driven deployments
• Prior involvement in a CPQ-to-RCA or CPQ-to-Vlocity migration
Soft Skills
• Strong facilitation skills — comfortable running workshops with mixed technical and non-technical audiences
• Able to push back constructively when requirements conflict with platform constraints
• Detail-oriented with a track record of keeping documentation current through project changes
