We are currently seeking a Salesforce Technical Lead to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Salesforce Technical team (Salesforce Business Analysts, Administrators, and Developers)
  • Manages weekly priorities of technical team (admins, developers, and support)
  • Responsible for the overall configuration, design, functionality, and end-user support of the Salesforce.com platform with ~2,000 users,
  • Designs and manages the Salesforce security model (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security)
  • Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Acts as both Business Analyst and System Administrator
  • Effectively acts as the liaison between our users, vendors, and the application development team
  • Maintains and oversees governance by completing regular internal system audits and preparing for seasonal Salesforce releases
  • Configures and maintains custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, triggers, custom workflows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within Salesforce.com,
  • Analyzes business requirements for best solution, meeting the needs of the business and our instance
  • Release Management and Planning based on effort/schedule estimation and resources availability,
  • Manage backlog estimation, requirement, impact analysis, design, and development
  • System Monitoring, Error Logs, Support, and maintenance
  • Reviews Salesforce Release Documentation, follows Salesforce Roadmap and identifies improvements that can be applied in our org or new functionality that we can benefit from, along with assuring any feature retirements are addressed / covered,
  • Manages Production and sandbox environments (org refreshes, configuration, etc.)
  • Manages integration with other applications/systems/processes & support
  • Manage Salesforce data loads, feeds, and other integrations
  • Technical testing / QA
  • Leads quarterly Release Deployment
  • Works independently with members of the user community to gather requirements, define, document, and solution requirements, then drive the configuration and development of the solution,
  • Implements change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.,
  • Coordinates the evaluation, scope and completion of new configuration and development requests with the team,
  • Works with Salesforce product owner to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities,
  • Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the business to ensure that solutions meet the defined product requirements
  • Manages defects in both UAT and Production environments in a timely and professional manner,
  • Writes scripts for UAT testing, ensuring the functionality built is thoroughly tested,
  • Assists in training of support team, new users, and growing the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization,
  • Document, document, document,

 

Skills Required:

Salesforce Application Architect Certification

Excellent project management skills

A positive attitude

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards

Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills

Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes

Self Learner

 

Experience Required:

Minimum seven years of experience as a Salesforce.com Technical Lead or Business Analyst

Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption

Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, flows (automation), custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity

Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality

Strong data management abilities

A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion

A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
