We are currently seeking a Security Technical Analyst (REMOTE role anywhere in Canada) to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

Security Technical Support:

NTT Data Services is a top 5 global technology services organization that has over 50,000 employees in North America.  We are seeking someone who enjoys solving technical security issues within an organization and creating viable solutions.  Evaluate security issues we face internally as an organization and NOT end-user support.  In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing issues sent via a ticket, developing solutions and ensuring we stay in compliance.  Due to this, you must have a broad understanding of IT infrastructure, software applications, operations, firewalls and networking to create viable solutions.  We use Remedy today for our ticketing system.  A ticket will flow to this individual and he or she will review the risks, determine where the issue is coming from, look at options and present viable solutions while keeping everything in compliance.  This person is part of our Information Security team. 

Knowledge needed for this role:

  • Detailed understanding & knowledge (DUK) of Traditional & Cloud based IT Services Delivery Infrastructure.
  • Understanding of computer ports & how they impact the security of IT Infrastructure (ITI)
  • Understanding of computer services & how they impact security of IT Infrastructure
  • Point 2 & 3 above need to be understood clearly from the standpoint of – End-Point Devices (Laptops/Desktops), Servers (Traditional Physical Servers & Virtual Servers) & Network & Security Equipment such as Firewalls, Routers, Switches (Layer 2/3), Network Cabling, IPS/IDS, Identity Management, Web-Filtering, etc.), Storage/FTP/SFTP/etc.
  • Understanding of computer security concepts as pertains to General Application Suites, Raw Code, Web-Development Environment (Web/IIS Servers, Active Server Pages, SQL Queries, etc.)
  • Risk Based thinking on how an IT infrastructure is impacted on security front w.r.t. the granularities involved in points listed above
  • Discipline & Diligence to keep a demanding ticketing queue moving & healthy
  • High cognitive decision-making skills
  • High written/oral communication skills
  • Having your CCNA or CCNP is a plus

 

Basic Required Qualifications:

    • Ability to work flexible hours.  Typical day is 11:00 am EST – 9:00 pm EST
    • 4+ years’ experience providing support on security ticket issues
