Job Description

Each Infrastructure Solutions Architect is part of a diverse and dynamic team who applies seasoned knowledge to deliver designs for complex, multi-tier, and cross platform environments. In this role, the architect is responsible for interpreting non-functional requirements, reaching consensus on the end to end solution, and formalizing the infrastructure design. The architect will partner with business leaders, developers, platform engineers, and operational support teams to provide design guidelines and impart knowledge on technical trends.  The team provides subject matter expertise on various architecture disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive infrastructure designs that incorporate strategic target state architecture and standards to maximize performance, capacity, and minimize total cost of ownership.
• Translate complex and sometimes ambiguous business requirements into sound technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and be responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design.
• Work with application owners and SME’s to influence and shape the strategic direction and target state infrastructure architecture.
• Apply hardware engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, defining, or recommending product hardware and software interfaces.
• Develop or update comprehensive DR strategies by recommending specific tools strategies, and solutions that meet internal or regulatory requirements.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend business directions based on these technologies.
• Educate the business representatives, engineering teams, build, and support teams on standards, processes, and tools.
• Drive client satisfaction by identifying and developing process improvement and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance of solutions to operations roadmap.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
• Support compliance to applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.

Qualifications:

• Infrastructure Design Architecture
• Must have strong experience with Operating Systems such as Unix and Linux
• Database Knowledge (Oracle Preferable)
• Google Cloud Platform

• Strong and effective communication skills to guide meetings, provide direction, conduct presentations, while interfacing with business sponsors.
• Ability to enforce the architecture solution by influencing decisions through advice, counsel, or facilitating services.
• Team player with ability to collaborate and take the initiative to master new technologies.
• Demonstrate composed analytical thought to resolve issues in high pressure situations.
• Clear and concise English written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to analyze the financial aspects of technology.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of Technical Architect and/or Solutions Engineering and/or Infrastructure Design or Architecture experience.
• Foundational knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL, PMI/PMP, SDLC.
• Technical certifications are a plus to show continuous professional development.
