We are currently seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Cloud Engineer to join our team in Heredia, Heredia (CR-H), Costa Rica (CR).

Position overview

The Senior Azure DevOps Engineer will spearhead the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines within a large-scale Azure environment, ensuring seamless software delivery and integration. This role encompasses all aspects of Azure cloud management, including the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, automation scripting, and performance monitoring. The engineer will collaborate closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices, enhance system security, and optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and scalability, ultimately driving the continuous improvement of operational workflows.

Position's General Duties and Tasks:

• Design and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate the software delivery process, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment of applications across various environments.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based servers and services on the Azure platform, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Implement DevSecOps practices to integrate security into the CI/CD pipelines and development processes, ensuring that security measures are automated and continuously monitored throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to containerize applications and manage container orchestration, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization within the enterprise environment.
• Implement and manage observability tools to monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance, providing insights and analytics to proactively identify and resolve issues, and optimize system operations. 

Qualifications

• Strong Hands-on experience with, Azure DevOps and CICD Pipelines, DevSecOps, GitHub, and configuration management tools.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience of Azure cloud platform.
• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based servers and services running various operating systems in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience on, Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of cloud networking.
• Strong understanding and utilization of tools for Observability

Nice to have:

• Azure or GCP experience.
• Cloud Certifications
• Confluent Kafka or Splunk experience
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/SAFe Methodology

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
