We are currently seeking a Submarine Auxiliary Work Package Planner ($5K SIGN ON BONUS) to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii (US-HI), United States (US).

NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Submarine Auxiliary Work Package Planner with in-depth knowledge of the Navy’s Submarine Maintenance programs and policies to join our team in Honolulu. The selected candidate’s role will provide engineering, technical and program management support for submarine ship’s force maintenance using all available technical resources and government provided information.



Job Duties:

  • Shall incorporate and comply with regulatory instructions, drawings, reports, manuals, work documents, letters and other directives relating to the SUBSAFE, LEVEL ONE, FLY-BY-WIRE, and the Deep Submergence SCOPE OF CERTIFICATION Programs to create unique Hull-specific Control Work Packages (CWPs) and Formal Work Procedures (FWPs) for inclusion in a work package database to be used on Pacific Fleet Submarines.
  • Shall understand the unique requirements of nuclear-powered Submarine Quality Assurance Programs and be able to research, develop and generate FWPs and CWPs associated with submarine ship’s force operation and maintenance.
  • Shall maintain the work package database current by implementing technical manual changes, Planned Maintenance System (PMS) Force Revisions, drawing revisions and Technical Variance Documents (TVDs).
  • Shall research and identify all parts, materials and special tools required for the FWPs and CWPs that are in the work package database.
  • Shall assist in training personnel in use and functionality of the provided work package generator and the work package database.
  • Shall research Submarine recertification testing requirements to include test durations and acceptable pass / fail criteria, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) requirements, and generate the required OQE documents to be included in the work package database.
  • Shall submit Technical Feedback Reports (TFBRs) / Liaison Action Requests (LARs) when required to correct or clarify Technical Document deficiencies while developing the FWPs and CWPs that are in the work package database


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in submarine maintenance, IMA, or submarine repair developing maintenance work packages.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with modernization methods and contractor functions (including AIT teams), and Navy organizational, intermediate and depot level modernization activities and general knowledge of standard methods/direct by-products to substantially improve support, increase productivity, improve effectiveness, and reduce cost for all modernization efforts.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with the QA program and FMP management practices and a thorough knowledge of automated modernization information systems applicable to Departure from Specifications (DFS), eDFS, ATIS, RMAIS, and SHIPALTS and A&Is contractor and installation activities.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience serving onboard a submarine in Engineering Department.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
