We are currently seeking a Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

Once You Are Here, You Will:

• Maintain an automation-first and contract-first mindset across all quality engineering initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for QE deliverables, collaborating with Product, Development, SRE, and DevOps teams to drive end-to-end quality ownership.
• Define and implement test strategies across API, UI, integration, IoT, simulator, and distributed system validation.
• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, or similar) to support continuous validation across services and connected environments.
• Lead IoT and simulator-based testing initiatives, validating device-to-cloud and cloud-to-device interactions, telemetry ingestion, and command-response behavior using virtualized or containerized simulators.
• Drive adoption of schema-based contract validation (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, JSON Schema) and integrate contract-first checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee the design, maintenance, and deployment of device simulators or service mocks to replicate real-world workloads, fault conditions, and network behaviors.
• Implement and manage chaos and resilience testing to assess recovery and fault tolerance across simulated and production-like environments.
• Define and manage test environments in cloud and containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Partner with DevOps to embed continuous testing pipelines and enforce shift-left quality gates.
• Lead performance and load testing (JMeter, k6, Locust) for high-throughput and real-time scenarios, including simulated device traffic.
• Establish observability dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk) to track SLOs, SLIs, and test execution metrics across simulator and production runs.
• Collaborate with Security and Platform teams to validate secure simulator and IoT communication (TLS, OAuth2/JWT, secrets management).
• Oversee test data strategy, reporting, and quality metrics for functional, performance, and resilience validation.
• Coordinate defect triage, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement across product and engineering teams.
• Mentor QE engineers on automation best practices, IoT/simulator validation, CI/CD integration, and contract-first testing.
• Champion innovation and AI-augmented automation to accelerate test coverage, improve feedback cycles, and enhance system reliability.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and automation, including IoT, simulator, or distributed system validation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, TypeScript, or C#).
• Proven ability to design and implement automation frameworks across API, UI, and system layers.
• Strong understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP, CoAP) and message brokers (Kafka, AMQ, Event Hub).
• Experience designing, maintaining, or integrating device simulators or service stubs for large-scale validation.
• Experience with contract-first testing and schema validation (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, JSON Schema).
• Hands-on experience with performance, load, and chaos testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gremlin, LitmusChaos).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and automation orchestration.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk) for monitoring SLIs and SLAs.
• Experience managing containerized and cloud-native test environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Demonstrated leadership in QE strategy, automation architecture, and technical mentorship.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing or extending IoT simulators or test harnesses that replicate device or service interactions.
• Background in schema-driven testing and version control for contracts and simulation assets.
• Exposure to chaos engineering, resilience validation, and long-duration reliability testing using simulators.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps (Terraform, Helm) for automated environment provisioning.
• Cross-functional experience with platform, SRE, and cloud teams to align test coverage with reliability goals.

• Openness to exploring AI-powered testing and self-healing automation capabilities.
• Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers for contextual AI-driven testing and automation orchestration.
• Advocate for integrating AI and ML-driven insights into testing dashboards, predictive defect detection, and automation optimization.
• Drive continuous innovation through AI-augmented and simulator-enhanced QE practices, improving velocity, coverage, and quality outcomes.
