We are currently seeking a Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle R12 DBA to support and maintain enterprise-level Oracle E-Business Suite R12 environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in production support, performance tuning, patching, and backup & recovery, ensuring high availability and stability of Oracle applications and databases.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle EBS R12 Administration
- Provide 24x7 production support for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 environments
- Perform installation, configuration, cloning, and maintenance of Oracle EBS R12 (Apps Tier and DB Tier)
- Manage EBS patching, including AD patches, RUPs, CPU patches, and one-off patches
- Apply online and offline patches using ADOP (Online Patching)
- Support multi-node and single-node architectures
Database Administration
- Administer Oracle Databases (11g / 12c / 19c) supporting EBS R12
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, and refreshes (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod)
- Monitor and tune database performance using AWR, ADDM, ASH, and SQL tuning techniques
- Handle backup and recovery using RMAN
- Manage tablespaces, datafiles, redo logs, and archive logs
Performance & Monitoring
- Identify and resolve database and application performance issues
- Proactively monitor system health and capacity planning
- Work with functional and technical teams to troubleshoot concurrent manager, workflow, and application issues
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain Oracle security best practices
- Manage user access, roles, profiles, and password policies
- Support audits, compliance, and documentation requirements
Support & Operations
- Handle incident, problem, and change management as per ITIL processes
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues
- Coordinate with Oracle Support (SR management) for critical issues
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x
- Proficient in Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c)
- Hands-on experience with ADOP, AutoConfig, and Rapid Clone
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Expertise in RMAN, Data Pump (expdp/impdp)
- Experience with OEM, shell scripting, and basic SQL/PLSQL
- Knowledge of DR setups and High Availability architectures
Functional & Support Skills
- Experience in production support environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in on-call / shift-based support models
- Good understanding of ITIL processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle certifications (OCA / OCP)
- Experience with cloud environments (OCI / AWS / Azure)
- Exposure to EBS integrations and third-party tools
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware is a plus

About the Project
This role supports a mission-critical Oracle EBS R12 production environment, ensuring system stability, performance, and continuous availability for business operations.
Support activities include :
• EBS and Planning instance database upgrade from 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2.
• Applied RPC5 and Baseline patches to EBS and ASCP 12.1.3 as part of the preparation for the EBS 12.2 upgrade.
• Configured Active Data Guard.
• Completed the Sabrix application upgrade and database upgrades from 12c to 19.14.
• Completed the EBS, ASCP, and Agile database upgrades from 12.1.0.2 to 19.14.
• Upgraded the SOA application from 11g to 12c, along with a database upgrade to version 19.14.
• Upgraded the OIM application from 11g to 12c, alongside a database upgrade to version 19.14.
• Performed EBS and ASCP application upgrades from 12.1.3 to 12.2.10.
Below are the regular support activities:
• Apply Linux and Windows OS security patches quarterly using the FAM utility from the OCI console.
• Rebooting servers and adding storage in OCI whenever required.
• Weekly PROD maintenance and migration activities in the Production environment.
• Weekly cloning/refresh activities (which include EBS, ASCP, Sabrix, and Agile systems).
• Performing ad-hoc cloning of other instances as per requirements.
• Documenting changes and improvements in the cloning process.
• Regular patching activities using ADOP.
• Monitoring of EBS and integrated systems.
• Handling Production incidents and outages.
• Coordination with Oracle Support via SRs to resolve technical issues.
• Conducting health checks for service availability every week after maintenance.
• Executing all post-cloning steps after refresh activities.
• Database administration for EBS, including backups, database patching, and weekly Oracle Home backups.
• Providing Production support and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Monitoring system alerts and performing necessary remediation.
• Supporting secondary applications such as SOA, Tidal, OIM, Sabrix, and Agile.
