Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Capacity & Fulfilment Lead with 12+ years of experience to lead capacity planning, demand fulfilment, and resource optimization across multiple portfolios supporting a strategic healthcare customer.

The role will provide cross-portfolio visibility and governance of demand, capacity, supply, and fulfilment, working closely with delivery leaders, portfolio/program managers, workforce management, talent acquisition, and other enabling functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that current and forecasted resource requirements are understood, planned, and fulfilled in alignment with business priorities and delivery commitments.

Strong experience working in the Healthcare domain is mandatory, along with demonstrated expertise in capacity planning, resource/workforce management, demand forecasting, fulfilment governance, and stakeholder management in a large-scale IT services or technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Planning & Demand Management

  • Lead capacity and resource planning across multiple portfolios, programs, and delivery teams supporting the healthcare customer.

  • Consolidate and analyze current and future demand across portfolios to provide an integrated view of resource requirements.

  • Develop short-, medium-, and long-term capacity forecasts based on project pipelines, business priorities, ramp-ups, ramp-downs, and anticipated demand.

  • Identify capacity gaps, excess capacity, skill shortages, and potential fulfilment risks proactively.

  • Partner with portfolio and delivery leaders to validate demand forecasts and resource requirements.

  • Drive proactive capacity planning rather than reactive resource fulfilment.

Fulfilment Management

  • Own and govern the end-to-end resource fulfilment process across the account/portfolio landscape.

  • Track open demands, ageing, fulfilment status, critical positions, and upcoming resource requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal workforce/resource management teams, Talent Acquisition, subcontracting/vendor teams, and delivery organizations to fulfil demand.

  • Establish prioritization mechanisms for critical and competing resource demands.

  • Drive timely closure of resource requirements while balancing skills, location, cost, availability, and delivery timelines.

  • Identify fulfilment bottlenecks and implement corrective actions and escalation mechanisms.

Cross-Portfolio Governance

  • Establish a consistent capacity and fulfilment governance model across portfolios.

  • Provide leadership with a consolidated view of demand, supply, fulfilment, utilization, and associated risks.

  • Facilitate regular capacity and fulfilment reviews with portfolio, delivery, and account leadership.

  • Ensure alignment between portfolio-level requirements and overall account/customer priorities.

  • Identify opportunities for resource sharing and redeployment across portfolios to improve utilization and minimize external hiring.

  • Manage dependencies and competing resource requirements across programs.

Workforce Optimization

  • Drive effective utilization of available resources through proactive deployment and redeployment.

  • Identify upcoming roll-offs and facilitate early mapping of resources to future requirements.

  • Support workforce pyramid, location, skill-mix, and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Partner with leadership to identify strategic skill requirements and capability gaps.

  • Provide inputs into hiring, cross-skilling, upskilling, and workforce transformation plans.

  • Reduce fulfilment lead times and improve internal fulfilment wherever feasible.

Healthcare Domain Alignment

  • Apply an understanding of the Healthcare industry and healthcare technology landscape when assessing resource and capability requirements.

  • Understand delivery considerations associated with healthcare customers, including regulatory, security, privacy, compliance, and business-critical environments.

  • Work effectively with teams supporting healthcare business functions, platforms, applications, data, digital transformation, infrastructure, and related technology services.

  • Ensure workforce and capacity strategies are aligned with customer priorities and healthcare-specific delivery requirements.

Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain dashboards covering key metrics such as:

    • Demand vs. capacity

    • Fulfilment rate

    • Open and ageing demands

    • Time to fulfil

    • Resource utilization

    • Bench/available capacity

    • Upcoming roll-offs

    • Skill gaps

    • Internal vs. external fulfilment

  • Use data and trend analysis to anticipate capacity constraints and recommend actions.

  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of capacity and fulfilment processes.

  • Present actionable insights, risks, and recommendations to senior account and delivery leadership.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 12+ years of overall professional experience, preferably within IT services, consulting, technology delivery, or large-scale managed services organizations.

  • 8+ years of significant experience in capacity planning, resource management, workforce management, demand management, or fulfilment management.

  • Healthcare domain experience is mandatory.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience supporting large healthcare customers or healthcare technology environments.

  • 5+ years of proven experience managing resource demand and capacity across multiple portfolios/programs simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of IT delivery models, resource pyramids, skill planning, utilization, and workforce optimization.

  • Experience working with delivery leadership, account management, HR/workforce management, Talent Acquisition, and vendor organizations.

  • Ability to analyze complex demand and capacity data and translate it into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong governance, planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with senior leadership.

  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed, and geographically distributed organization.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting large enterprise healthcare accounts in an IT services/consulting environment.

  • Experience managing workforce/capacity across multiple technology areas such as applications, cloud, infrastructure, data & analytics, digital, testing, cybersecurity, and managed services.

  • Familiarity with workforce/resource management platforms and enterprise reporting tools.

  • Experience with advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics/reporting solutions.

  • Experience establishing or transforming capacity and fulfilment governance processes.

  • Exposure to global delivery models, including onsite/offshore/nearshore workforce planning.
