We are currently seeking a IT Project Manager - ELN Platforms (Electronic Lab Notebook) & Scientific Data Systems to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

Position Summary
The IT Project Manager – ELN, Scientific Data Platforms & Manufacturing Systems is a senior, outcome-accountable delivery leader responsible for the global implementation, validation, and adoption of Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) ecosystems and their integration with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across regulated R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing environments.
This role operates at the intersection of scientific workflows, manufacturing operations, regulated data integrity, and enterprise IT architecture, owning end-to-end program delivery, compliance readiness, and measurable outcomes across both lab and production domains.
Unlike traditional PM roles, this position requires demonstrated authority over multi-system lab-to-manufacturing ecosystems, validated platforms, and cross-functional behavior change at scale (scientists + manufacturing users).
Scope & Accountability
- Own multi-site, multi-system ELN + MES program delivery
- Accountable for end-to-end data integrity from experiment → manufacturing execution
- Operate across:
- R&D
- Analytical & QC labs
- Manufacturing / shopfloor systems
- Drive standardization across lab and manufacturing workflows
- Control program-level governance, funding alignment, and executive reporting
Core Responsibilities
1. Enterprise ELN & MES Program Ownership (Primary)
- Lead full lifecycle:
strategy → design → configuration → integration → validation → deployment → adoption → optimization - Own delivery across lab systems and manufacturing platforms (MES)
- Align scientific data strategy with manufacturing execution and batch data flows
- Deliver against measurable outcomes:
- Adoption
- Data quality
- Compliance
- Cycle time (lab + manufacturing)
2. Scientific & Manufacturing Workflow Engineering (Primary)
- Translate:
- Experimental workflows (R&D, QC)
- Manufacturing processes (batch execution, shopfloor operations)
into structured digital systems - Standardize:
- Experiment design (ELN)
- Batch records & execution workflows (MES)
- Ensure:
- Traceability from development → production
- Reproducibility and process consistency
- Redesign legacy lab and paper-based manufacturing practices
3. Regulated Validation & Data Integrity Leadership (Primary)
- Own CSV/CSA validation strategy across:
- ELN
- MES
- Integrated lab/manufacturing systems
- Ensure compliance with:
- GxP
- 21 CFR Part 11
- ALCOA+ principles
- Accountable for:
- Audit readiness (lab + manufacturing inspections)
- Validation documentation completeness
- Inspection defense (QA, regulatory authorities)
4. Cross-System Lab–Manufacturing Architecture & Integration
- Lead integration across:
- ELN
- LIMS
- CDS
- SDMS
- MES
- ERP (where applicable)
- Data & analytics platforms
- Ensure end-to-end digital thread:
Experiment → Analytical Testing → Release → Manufacturing Execution - Maintain data flow integrity and interoperability across lab and shopfloor systems
- Align with enterprise digital manufacturing and data platform strategies
5. Governance & Decision Authority (Primary)
- Establish governance frameworks:
- RAID
- Decision logs
- Steering committees
- Own critical trade-offs:
- Usability vs compliance
- Standardization vs site-specific manufacturing needs
- Speed vs validation rigor
- Interface with:
- Scientific leadership
- Manufacturing leadership
- QA
- IT executives
6. Adoption, Change & Behavioral Transformation (Primary)
- Drive adoption across:
- Scientists
- QC analysts
- Manufacturing operators & supervisors
- Own:
- Training strategies (lab + shopfloor)
- Usage standards
- Template and batch record governance
- Track and enforce:
- Active system usage
- Data completeness
- Process adherence
- Actively intervene where adoption fails
7. Global Delivery Leadership
- Deliver across:
- Global lab environments
- Manufacturing sites / plants
- Harmonize:
- Scientific practices
- Manufacturing processes
- Navigate regulatory variations across regions

- ELN adoption rate (>85%)
- MES adoption and digital batch execution compliance
- End-to-end data traceability (lab → manufacturing)
- Validation cycle time and inspection outcomes

- Paper lab notebooks
- Paper batch records

Non-Negotiable Requirements (Hard Gates)
- 10–15+ years in IT delivery with program-level ownership
- 8+ years delivering ELN or scientific data platforms in regulated environments
- 5+ years of MES implementation or integration experience (e.g., batch execution, eBR)
- 5–8 years of GxP validation (CSV/CSA) ownership across lab and/or manufacturing systems
- 5+ years driving adoption across scientific and/or manufacturing organizations
- 5+ years integrating:
- ELN with LIMS/CDS/SDMS
- AND/OR MES with lab systems
- Proven decision-making authority (not support roles)
Preferred (High-Value Differentiators)
- Hands-on experience with:
- ELN: Benchling, IDBS, BIOVIA, LabWare
- MES: Werum PAS-X, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Syncade
- Experience in:
- Pharma / biotech / life sciences manufacturing
- Digital lab + digital manufacturing transformation programs
- Strong exposure to:
- eBR (electronic batch records)
- Tech transfer (R&D → manufacturing)
