We are currently seeking a Release Consultant to join our team in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (IN-AP), India (IN).
Release Manager
Location: Hyderabad

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager with 7-10 years of experience in managing complex application and platform releases across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Release Management, Change Management, ITIL processes, CI/CD practices, Agile delivery methodologies, and end-to-end deployment governance. Experience supporting Digital Banking applications and platforms will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Release Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end release activities across multiple applications and technology teams.
- Develop and maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, and release governance processes.
- Ensure successful delivery of application releases with minimal business disruption.
- Coordinate release readiness reviews and post-release validation activities.
- Manage release dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
Change & Deployment Management
- Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities and ensure compliance with change management policies.
- Evaluate release risks and ensure appropriate approvals before production deployments.
- Coordinate production deployments, rollbacks, and contingency planning.
- Ensure deployment activities are executed as per defined processes and standards.
- Drive continuous improvements in release and deployment practices.
SDLC & CI/CD
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipeline-driven release processes.
- Promote release automation and deployment standardization.
- Ensure quality gates and release controls are followed before moving changes to production.
Agile & Scrum Delivery
- Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams to align releases with sprint and program milestones.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, release planning, and backlog prioritization discussions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely feature delivery and deployment readiness.
Digital Banking Release Coordination
- Manage releases for customer-facing digital banking platforms and critical financial services applications.
- Ensure regulatory, security, compliance, and operational requirements are incorporated into release planning.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to minimize impact on customer and banking operations during releases.
Reporting & Governance
- Provide release status reports, dashboard updates, and executive-level communications.
- Track release KPIs, deployment success rates, change success metrics, and operational impacts.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for process optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, or Application Delivery Governance.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, including Change, Incident, Problem, and Release Management.
- Hands-on experience with SDLC and CI/CD practices.
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of release governance, deployment planning, and risk management.
- Experience using ServiceNow for Change and Release Management.
- Experience using JIRA for Agile planning, release tracking, and project coordination.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple releases across complex technology landscapes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Digital Banking, Retail Banking, Payments, or Financial Services platforms.
- Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or similar.
- Knowledge of cloud-based deployment environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Understanding of application monitoring and post-release validation processes.
- ITIL Foundation, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Release Management certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in ITIL, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Release Management preferred.
