- Configuration & Setup: Configure SAP HCM Benefits Administration (IT0041, IT0167, IT0168, IT0169) to implement collective agreement–driven waiting period logic, including eligibility/enrolment date determination and plan-specific rules (EHCP, Dental, Hearing & Vision, DI, BLIF).
- PA40 Action Design: Build and configure new personnel actions (e.g., Benefit Waiting Period actions) to manage dynamic enrolment, termination, and adjustment of eligible/enrol dates across Hire, Status Change, Deferred Status Change, and Rehire scenarios.
- Business Rule Configuration: Configure AACT/business rules to enforce waiting period validations (e.g., enrol date vs. eligible date checks, Not Actively at Work status edits) and support audit logging (PCL4) for date field changes.
- Leave & NA@W Logic: Configure benefits treatment for employees on LOA, STDP, IOD, and GRTW, differentiating legislated vs. non-legislated leave impacts on waiting period accrual and re-enrolment upon return to work.
- Integration: Support data flow and downstream impacts across Time, Payroll, and reporting jobs (e.g., BEN_CHG_REPORT) driven by benefits eligibility changes.
- Testing & Support: Support SIT/UAT cycles for benefits configuration changes, troubleshoot data issues in production/test environments, and validate transaction behavior (HRBEN0071, HRBEN0072).
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Document configuration decisions and train HR/AccessHR users on new waiting period processes and transactions.
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 8 to 12 Yrs years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM Benefits Administration, with strong working knowledge of Personnel Administration (PA) infotypes and benefits infotypes (IT0041, IT0167, IT0168, IT0169).
- Certification: SAP HCM professional with valid certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience configuring benefits eligibility, waiting periods, and enrolment logic tied to collective agreements or union rules.
- Experience designing or modifying PA40 personnel actions and associated dynamic actions/business rules (AACT).
- Understanding of Not Actively at Work (NA@W) scenarios (LOA, STDP, IOD, GRTW) and their impact on benefits eligibility and payroll.
- Ability to translate collective agreement/legal language into functional and technical configuration requirements.
- Experience supporting SIT/UAT and production support for benefits processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to work directly with client business and technical teams.
Good to have:
- S/4HANA experience, including Business Partner (BP) concepts.
- Experience with retroactive payroll impacts related to benefits eligibility changes.
- Familiarity with audit logging (PCL4) and change-tracking requirements for regulated/compliance-driven configuration.
- Experience in postal, logistics, or unionized workforce environments.
- Proficient in unit and integration testing, with a track record of rapid issue resolution.
Education:
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
