Job Description: SAP PI/PO & SAP BTP Integration Suite Consultant

Role:

SAP Integration Consultant – PI/PO & BTP IS (Integration Suite)

Looking for SAP Integration Consultant with strong experience in SAP PI/PO and SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI) with proven experience in PI→BTP migration projects. Candidate must be hands-on in iFlows, adapters, mappings, and API-based integrations.

Experience:

5–12 years (with strong hands-on integration experience)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Integration Consultant with strong expertise in SAP PI/PO and SAP BTP Integration Suite (IS) to support ongoing migration initiatives from on-premise middleware to cloud-based integration platforms. The candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing integration solutions aligned with enterprise digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead/Support migration of SAP PI/PO interfaces to SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI)
• Design, develop, and deploy integration flows using SAP CPI
• Perform assessment and re-engineering of existing PI/PO interfaces for BTP readiness
• Develop and maintain integration scenarios:
• SAP to SAP integrations
• SAP to non-SAP integrations (REST, SOAP, IDoc, RFC, OData)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance in both PI/PO and BTP environments
• Work closely with functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders to gather integration requirements
• Ensure adherence to integration best practices, governance, and security standards
• Support incident resolution and provide L2/L3 support for production issues

Mandatory Skills:

SAP PI/PO:

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• ESR (Enterprise Service Repository)
• Integration Directory configuration
• Message mappings (Graphical / Java / XSLT)
• Adapter configurations (IDoc, File, JDBC, SOAP, REST)
• Experience in dual-stack / single-stack PI/PO environments

SAP BTP Integration Suite (IS):

• Hands-on experience in:
• SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)
• iFlows development
• Message Mapping & Groovy scripting
• API Management (basic understanding)
• Strong knowledge of:
• REST/SOAP APIs
• OData services
• Integration patterns

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in Event Mesh / Integration Advisor
• Exposure to SAP API Management / Open Connectors
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD for integrations
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA integration scenarios
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid integration landscapes

Migration-Specific Expertise (Critical):

• Proven experience in PI/PO to BTP migration projects
• Knowledge of:
• Interface assessment and rationalization
• Migration strategies (rebuild vs reuse vs redesign)
• Handling custom adapters and legacy integrations

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to drive discussions with clients and internal teams
• Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach

Certifications (Preferred):

• SAP Certified Integration Developer (CPI / BTP IS)
• SAP PI/PO certification
