About the Role
Test Automation Lead with hands-on ( 5 to 8 Yrs) experience of implementing test automation solutions in agile/ Java environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Automation solutions for QA services, along with defining automation testing best practices. Some responsibilities to include:-
• Provide technology solutions for enhancing test automation capability, tools and virtualization including data stubbing at organization level. Experience in Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) and Cucumber
• Ability and proven experience in advising on test automation strategy, creating roadmap, setting direction for short and long term automation plan, bringing in best practices and RoI, key performance metrics evaluation.
• Understanding the business requirements and product objectives to create automation framework and execute automated test cases.
• Setting up, maintaining and performing test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop and Web, and building test scenarios and acceptance tests.
• Working with environment configuration, data and deployments teams, resolving the respective level issues for systems and should be capable to analyze and strategize it for virtualization & data stubbing.
• Noting all testing actions in daily and weekly reports as applicable.
• Assist engineering management team with the technical presentation of proposed automation solutions
• Researching test tools, methodologies and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes. Serving as an expert in defining and rolling out standard Automation Frameworks, in line with latest industry trends (like Robot Framework, Scriptless automation, etc.)
• Understanding of non-functional testing and ability to integrate the same within automation solution
• hands on experience in using Selenium Webdriver with Java for test automation, strong hands on experience and understanding of Object Oriented Programming with Core Java
• Proficient with Selenium Grid and Cross Browser testing concepts
• hands on experience in practicing TestNG as test automation framework, TestNG reports for Jenkin jobs, Extent Reports
• Very conversant with Page Object and Page Factory Model
• Hands on experience in Data Driven Testing utilities/ Excel Driven testing, integrating DataProvider (in TestNG) with Excel for Robust Data Driven Implementation
• work experience in agile methodologies (preferably Scrum)
• hands on experience with Behavioral Driven Development(BDD), Cucumber framework and Gherkin
