We are currently seeking a Senior Documentum Developer to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

Job Description

As a Senior Documentum Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise content management solutions using the OpenText Documentum platform. You will lead the implementation of document workflows, repository configurations, and integrations with other enterprise systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in Documentum technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and IT teams to deliver scalable and secure document management solutions.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

Development & Implementation

  • Design and develop Documentum-based solutions using xCP, DFC, DQL, and REST APIs.
  • Customize and configure Documentum Content Server, D2, and Webtop applications.
  • Implement document workflows and lifecycle management using Process Builder and Composer.
  • Integrate Documentum with other enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, etc.) via APIs and middleware.
  • Migrate legacy content and repositories to Documentum or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

System Architecture & Optimization

  • Architect scalable and secure Documentum solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Optimize repository structure, object types, and indexing for performance and compliance.
  • Monitor and tune system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply hotfixes/patches.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations for Documentum environments.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and engineering teams to gather requirements.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce development best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership in ECM strategy, upgrades, and platform modernization.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and user guides for internal teams.

Cloud & DevOps Integration

  • Develop cloud-native Documentum solutions using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for Documentum deployments using tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments and ensure seamless user experience across platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Documentum development and ECM implementations.
  • Proficiency in Documentum xCP, DFC, DQL, REST APIs, and Java/J2EE.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and DevOps tools.
  • Strong understanding of database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat).

Preferred Skills

  • Documentum Certified Developer or xCP Specialist.
  • Experience in engineering domains like aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, FDA, GDPR) in document management.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
