We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).
Job Title: PLM Teamcenter & CAD/CAE Support Consultant
Role Overview
The PLM Teamcenter & CAD/CAE Support consultant is responsible for the administration, support, enhancement, and continuous improvement of Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments while providing leadership across CAD/CAE support functions. This role ensures the stability, performance, and reliability of PLM systems, drives process optimization, manages upgrades and integrations, and collaborates with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to support product development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration & Support
- Deliver technical support for Teamcenter users and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage user access, permissions, and data integrity within Teamcenter.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
- Maintenance & Upgrades
- Plan and execute Teamcenter maintenance patches and major version upgrades.
- Maintain and modify Teamcenter Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE) configurations.
- Administer Active Workspace deployments and configurations.
- Enhancements & Integration
- Deploy new Teamcenter features and solutions, including Supplier Collaboration Framework.
- Support integration with CAD, ERP, and manufacturing systems.
- Documentation & Training
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for configurations and processes.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users and junior support staff.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to improve PLM workflows.
- Participate in global PLM enhancement projects and rollouts.
- Knowledge and awareness on CAD/CAE best practices.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to align simulation outputs with design goals.
- Communicate technical findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and design validation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in Teamcenter administration, customization, and support.
- Strong knowledge of PLM principles and Siemens Teamcenter architecture.
- Technical Skills:
- Teamcenter BMIDE, ITK development, Active Workspace configuration.
- Familiarity with integrations (CAD, ERP systems).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor support teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Teamcenter visualization and NX integration.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to automotive, aerospace, or discrete manufacturing domains.
