Systems Integration Advisor

The Backup Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and recoverability of company data through the efficient administration and management of backup and recovery processes. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual who can troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to data backup, protection, and recovery.

1. Configure and manage backup and recovery systems and processes
2. Perform regular backups of critical data and test to verify recovery capabilities
3. Monitor backup systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise
4. Maintain accurate documentation of backup and recovery procedures and policies
5. Develop disaster recovery plans and participate in executing those plans when necessary
6. Work with IT team and key stakeholders to establish data retention and archival policies
7. Assist in the selection and implementation of new backup and recovery solutions

8. Avira Scanner knowledge

9. Alta View, reporting tool knowledge.

10. IPMI Console 

11. Vaulting (IRE) skills

12. Flex OS upgrade.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Performance will be measured through the following indicators:

All backups are carried out and maintained according to the Backup Policy;
Storage and hosting resource request are provisioned in a timely manner;
Servers, systems and backups are recovered from backups during any incident or disaster in a timely manner;
Effective infrastructure support, maintenance, administration and resolutions of any backup and/or storage related issue.
All required documentations, recommendations and reports are produced, updated and accessible.
