We are currently seeking a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and hands-on Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) to spearhead the production support, maintenance, and stabilization efforts for a critical enterprise Pega project. In this role, you will lead a dedicated support team, interface directly with US business stakeholders, and serve as the ultimate technical authority for resolving complex architectural, integration, and performance issues.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Oversight

• Act as the primary Technical Authority and escalation point for all high-priority (P1/P2) production incidents.
• Lead a team of support and maintenance engineers, providing architectural governance and code review alignment.
• Define and enforce best practices for Pega guardrails, security compliance, and production hotfix deployments.

Production Stabilization & Architecture

• Troubleshoot and remediate complex architectural bottlenecks, memory leaks, and severe performance issues.
• Manage infrastructure and platform health utilizing Pega PDC (Predictive Diagnostic Cloud), AWS/Cloud monitoring tools, and log analyzers.
• Oversee platform upgrades, patch applications, and structural changes to ensure zero-downtime operations.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with US-based business leaders, product owners, and infrastructure teams to communicate system status and risk mitigations.
• Translate complex operational issues into business-friendly language and provide strategic roadmaps for long-term system stability.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings for critical outages and present remediation strategies to senior leadership.
• DevOps & Release Management
• Govern the CI/CD pipeline and branching strategies using Pega Deployment Manager to ensure safe, automated hotfix deliveries.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and transition of new features into the production environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Pega & Leadership Experience

• 10+ years of enterprise IT experience,
• 5 + years acting as a certified Pega LSA.
• Proven track record of leading application support, maintenance, or operations for large-scale, high-volume Pega applications.
• Expert-level knowledge of Pega Architecture, Enterprise Class Structure (ECS), Security models, Agents/Job Schedulers, and async processing.
• Strong expertise in complex enterprise integrations (REST, SOAP, Kafka, JMS) and relational database tuning (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Modern Pega Architecture (Preferred)
• Hands-on familiarity with Pega Cloud, AWS/Azure deployments, and modern UI architectures like Pega Constellation or Theme Cosmos.
• Soft Skills & Communication
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with extensive experience working directly with US-based enterprise clients.
• Strong crisis management skills with the ability to lead technical teams under high-pressure outage scenarios.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA)

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $123,525.00 to $205,875.00This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. 

Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
