We are currently seeking a Web Hosting Security Engineer(Hybrid) to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida (US-FL), United States (US).

Overview

We are seeking a Web Hosting Operations professional to support a large-scale enterprise application environment. This role is responsible for vulnerability remediation, platform deployments, operational support, and maintaining the stability and security of web-hosted applications across multiple environments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Linux/UNIX administration experience, Apache web server expertise, and a solid understanding of networking concepts, automation, and infrastructure operations. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze reported vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans to address security risks.
  • Execute vulnerability remediation activities and validate successful implementation across development, test, and production environments.
  • Perform deployment and operational support activities for enterprise application platforms.
  • Administer and support Apache web server environments.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application support teams to resolve incidents and implement solutions.
  • Assist with automation efforts using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Communicate technical issues, remediation plans, and status updates to internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain operational documentation and follow established change management processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in web hosting, infrastructure operations, systems administration, or a related role.
  • Experience administering and supporting Apache web servers.
  • Strong UNIX/Linux administration skills.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancing, and application connectivity.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Perl, YAML, Shell scripting, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability remediation and security-related operational activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise banking or financial services environments.
  • Experience working with production application support teams.
  • Familiarity with change management and release processes.
  • Experience automating operational tasks and system administration functions.
