We are currently seeking a Azure Devops Engineer to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (MY-12), Malaysia (MY).

Role Overview

The IT Specialist – Production Support is responsible for monitoring, release management, and incident management of Azure‑based IoT platforms. This role provides L1.5–L2 production support with end‑to‑end ownership of incidents, ensuring system reliability, availability, and SLA compliance in a 24x7 operational environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Azure cloud systems to ensure high availability and performance
  • Perform L1.5–L2 support including deployment, rollback, and troubleshooting
  • Manage and coordinate Major Incident Management bridges and escalations
  • Own incidents end‑to‑end from detection through resolution and closure
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 3 (Engineering / Development teams)
  • Support 24x7 operations including on‑call and off‑hours crisis support
  • Manage software and firmware releases (including OTA updates)
  • Execute release processes from QA → Load Testing → Staging → Production
  • Support CI/CD pipelines in agile development environments
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
  • Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and best practices
  • Perform security checks, access audits, and remediation activities
  • Support platform migrations and New Product Introduction (NPI) onboarding

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR Azure Fundamentals certification
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud services
  • Experience with PaaS and IaaS including VMs, Storage, Event Hub, AKS, Service Fabric, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, IoT Hub, Databricks, Key Vault, Data Lake
  • Understanding of IoT concepts (telemetry, ingestion, processing, storage, reporting)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools: Octopus, Bamboo, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible
  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
  • Scripting knowledge in PowerShell and/or Python
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Log Analytics, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Nagios, or Zabbix
  • Comfortable working in Linux and Windows environments
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
