We are currently seeking a SCRUM Master to join our team in Langley-Eustis, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is looking for a SCUM Master to support a critical Department of Defense program located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis to support the client’s Cloud Migration and Data Center Consolidation Efforts under the Federal Cloud Strategy and the Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative respectively. As part of this program, the client requires that a thorough inventory and assessment is conducted of each of the applications to determine the proper modernization and migration methods needed to host the application in the commercial cloud. Once the assessment is completed, applications will be modernized as required and deployed to the appropriate impact level (IL, 2, 3, 4 or 6) cloud environment.


Position's General Duties and Tasks:

In the role of SCRUM Master, you will use industry best practices to lead the team in the conduct of a migrating TRADOC applications to a cloud environment. You will coordinate, plan, and execute the physical deployment of IT support devices and cloud ready applications. You and the team will verify that all service interfaces are designed to be consumable from DoD Sources and that new and existing applications are able to expose their data and functionality through service interfaces. Your team will produce and execute a plan that builds applications to the highest abstraction of cloud services that meet functional, technical, performance, and cost goals. You will develop an approach to modernizing application migrations to commercial cloud by applying Cloud Native Design Principles with priority use of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.


Candidates for this position will be required to adhere to NTT DATA’s and its clients’ COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a current Secret clearance
  • Twelve (12) years of relevant experience with managing and leading a large IT project (15+ FTE, $5m/yr)
  • SCRUM Master Certification
  • ITIL High Velocity IT certification
  • BS/BA degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert understanding of IT project management principles and techniques
  • Experience in the development of business processes and governance processes
  • Experience in Agile processes and methodologies
  • Experience with Asset Inventory (software and hardware)
  • Experience with Cloud Assessments and Migration
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD automation practices
  • Demonstrates expert proficiency in the specific tools that are available and required as part of the company’s project management information system
  • Expert ability to identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action plans
  • Expert ability to ensure that effective project controls are in place to monitor project or program performance
  • Expert capability at providing effective performance reporting for the client and company to monitor the progress of the project
  • Expert facilitation and communication skills
  • Expert ability to lead global project teams of large scope and high complexity
  • Master’s degree preferred
