NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Linux System Administrator to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska (US-NE), United States (US).

 

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • RHEL, Scripting, VMware, Vsphere troubleshooting expertize and ensuring maximum availability.
  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches
  • Resolve software and hardware related problems.
  • Server Builds, Cluster configurations.
  • Communications during activities and high severity incidents Storage Migrations, Hardware refresh from OS perspective
  • Willing to work 24/7 on call support in rotational shifts, ready to work on weekends also
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and high pressure situations for outage handling, management or resolution
  • Demonstrate Programming level knowledge of at least Bash Shell and Perl Required

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ of recent Linux Systems Administration & Engineering
  • 5+ IT career experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.x/7.x, Vmware and scripting languages.
  • Proficient in OS installation, security hardening, maintenance, performance tuning & troubleshooting, identifying and resolving contention in CPU, memory, networking, disk I/O, etc.
  • Experience performing Configuration Management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Preferred:

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Experience working with DNS, LDAP, DHCP, TLS/SSL.
  • Good working knowledge of storage performance at RHEL, virtual and physical layers
  • Previous mainframe experience
  • Experience with creation and operations of monitoring solutions
  • Experience with performance trouble shooting in production environments
  • Experience with Dell SC9000 Storage infrastructure
