We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas (US-AR), United States (US).

Position will require ~50% travel once COVID travel restrictions are lifted.


The Arkansas Integrated Eligibility System (ARIES) Project Management Office (PMO) Team currently has a need for a seasoned consultant with technical expertise around reporting and data analytics. The Senior Principal Consultant (PC) will be responsible for working alongside the ARIES Technical Manager for Arkansas’s Department of Human Services (DHS) and its partnering vendors. The Senior PC will work collaboratively with the client, the Systems Integrator (SI), and various external vendors leading technology projects for the PMO. The Senior PC will work to ensure that the clients business needs are met by assessing if the project artifacts are meeting the client’s requirements as well as providing valuable business and technical subject matter expertise through consultation with the client. In addition, the Senior PC will work directly with the vendors, business users and the client to provide recommendations to the project team on project issues, risks, and project direction.


Job Responsibilities Include:

• Ability to assess technical compliance of systems with specified requirements
• Solid understanding of Data Structures with a Data Architecture background
• Must be a team player and a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible “can do” attitude, and a results-driven commitment to success
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts to technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to communicate succinctly and accurately in written and verbal English
• Experience conducting meetings and making presentations
• Ability to review system integrator contractor deliverables and processes for quality, completeness and technical accuracy
• Ability to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systems
• Ability to gather requirements for large scale complex business and technical operations
• Ability to apply Project Management industry best practices


Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in eliciting and elaborating business and technical requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on large, complex systems projects
• Up to 50% Travel may be required


Preferred Skills:
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment
• Knowledge of defect management, reporting, workflow, and triage and change management
• Experience in management of operations and maintenance of large systems
• Experience with Data Conversion of legacy data to new system data for large system implementations.
• Excels at using quantitative data to drive recommendations and decisions
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or relative work experience
