NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Principal Data Center Architect - Qatar to join our team in London, London, City of (GB-LND), United Kingdom (GB).

This is a remote working position with travel to London and some other UK and EMEA locations. Working with major customers in the banking and finance markets to start, you'll be part of a team engaging with our clients to deliver insights and developing key capability solutions that will provide your customers with the IT outcomes that will enable them to stay competitive in an ever changing industry. This opportunity will involve regular travel to, and working in Qatar, as well as travel and working in the UK.



  • Architecting, designing and building Data Centre solutions to business requirements in accordance to enterprise application and technology roadmaps, principles, standards and guidelines
  • Actively supports sales pursuits focused on DC services delivery including C-level conversations and presentations
  • Developing migration strategies to move key application workloads into the new environment
  • Contributing to developing, maintaining and publishing principles, standards, guidelines and processes as needed, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture
  • Developing and maintenance of DC migration based IP
  • Point of contact for architectural issues in related projects

  • Ability to effectively summarize and clearly communicate infrastructure hardware/software problems involving multiple support team(s).

  • Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively as well as function with no supervision, under tight deadlines, and demonstrate initiative in problem solving
  • Demonstrate ability to execute and perform timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate competency in the use of project management tools and methodologies.


Technical experience:

Extensive experience in one or several of the following competency areas:

  • IT/Cloud Architecture Integration Experience
  • DC Management & Orchestration, Architectural knowledge of orchestration/virtualization tools and concepts: OpenStack, VMware VCenter
  • Cloud integration: Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud
  • IT Infrastructure Integration: Network & Security, Storage & Backup, OS, Database:
  • Familiar with Operator's Applications: OSS, BSS, CRM, ERP, OA etc
  • Familiar with Operator's Architectures: ITIL, eTom
  • DC Consolidation and Migration Methodology and Experience:
  • DC Consolidation plan and wave design experience
  • Application migration
  • System Migration: P2V, V2V, Unix to X86.
  • Data/Database Migration: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, SQL Server migration to each other.
  • Storage Migration: EMC, NetApp, HP, HDS migration to each other
