Role Summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support program operations, resource planning, decision support, and delivery enablement for a complex technology program. The analyst will convert operational, resource, financial, schedule, and delivery information into accurate reporting and practical recommendations that help leaders make informed decisions.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an analyst who can work across functions, independently address standard analytical needs, and apply structured analysis to ambiguous business problems. The role partners with program operations, PMO, finance, human resources, delivery leadership, and technical teams. The analyst will operate within established methods and priorities, seeking guidance for novel, sensitive, or higher-risk assignments.

The successful candidate will combine analytical discipline, business curiosity, and strong communication skills. The role prepares reliable information, develops requirements, coordinates analysis, and presents recommendations for review and approval by accountable leaders.

Location: Fully remote, with the possibility of travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence and Decision Support

  • Collect, validate, organize, and analyze data from approved sources to support decisions related to resource deployment, staffing, scheduling, spend, delivery performance, and operational priorities.
  • Create and maintain recurring dashboards, reports, trackers, and executive summaries using approved tools and defined data sources.
  • Identify trends, variances, capacity concerns, data-quality issues, and operational dependencies; document assumptions and escalate material findings.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear options and actionable recommendations, including capacity, utilization, demand, cost, and delivery-impact scenarios.
  • Respond to standard ad hoc data and reporting requests and publish results through well-developed business intelligence interfaces.

Operations and Resource Planning

  • Support capacity planning and resource-allocation activities, including maintaining demand, role, assignment, onboarding, and forecast information.
  • Compare planned demand with available capacity and highlight potential overcapacity, undercapacity, timing conflicts, and skill gaps.
  • Partner with operations, finance, and human resources stakeholders to map workflows, clarify data ownership, and improve reporting consistency.
  • Develop repeatable planning processes and documentation that improve visibility without creating unnecessary administrative burden.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, commercial, client, or program-sensitive information.

Program Delivery Tools and Process Improvement

  • Gather and document business requirements for dashboards, trackers, workflow tools, automation, and other delivery capabilities.
  • Develop prototypes and low-code reporting solutions when appropriate, or coordinate with technical resources for more complex development.
  • Support user acceptance testing, data validation, documentation, training materials, and adoption of approved tools.
  • Map current-state workflows, identify inefficiencies or control gaps, and implement measurable process improvements with stakeholder support.
  • Maintain definitions, source-to-report traceability, version control, and operating instructions.

Responsible AI Enablement

  • Support approved AI initiatives that improve productivity, reporting, knowledge management, and delivery execution.
  • Identify suitable use cases, define requirements, test outputs, document limitations, and measure expected business value.
  • Use only approved enterprise tools and follow applicable company, client, privacy, security, data-handling, and responsible-AI requirements.
  • Apply human review, source validation, and appropriate escalation to reduce inaccurate, sensitive, or unsupported outputs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in business analytics, business administration, information systems, data analytics, computer science, finance, operations, industrial engineering, or a related field, or comparable relevant experience consistent with company policy.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, academic projects, consulting projects, or early-career work in business intelligence, analytics, business analysis, operations, finance, PMO, or technology delivery.
  • 1+ years experience with data analysis and statistical concepts, including averages, distributions, trends, variance, and the relevance and limitations of information.
  • 1+ Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and experience publishing reports through Excel, Access, Power BI, or another standard business intelligence interface.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, validate information, document assumptions, independently resolve standard analytical assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to collaborate across business and technical teams in a fast-paced, multi-partner environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a US Hybrid arrangement and participate in on-site activities based on business and client needs.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Power BI or a comparable dashboard and data-visualization platform.
  • Exposure to SQL, relational databases, data preparation, Access, or other analytical tools.
  • Experience gathering requirements, mapping processes, developing reports, or supporting user acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, or approved low-code and AI capabilities.
  • Experience with NTT DATA processes, systems, delivery methods, or internal business operations.
  • Experience supporting telecommunications, infrastructure, managed services, major events, or a large technology program.
  • Exposure to project or program management practices in a multi-client, multi-partner, or multi-vendor environment.
