We are currently seeking a Network Modernization QA/QC Manager to join our team in Los Angeles, California (US-CA), United States (US).

The Network Modernization QA/QC Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality standards for a multi-site network modernization and refresh program. This full-time role involves managing quality assurance and control activities for modern communication infrastructures for a public sector client, including wired and wireless LAN networks, fiber backbones, routers, and related services. The manager supervises operations across multiple locations, ensures adherence to established quality standards, and manages material testing and certification processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise teams involved in operational, production, service, or administrative functions.
  • Develop and implement quality control and assurance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to verify compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Oversee material testing processes to ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Coordinate material and process certification activities.
  • Support corrective actions and drive continuous improvement based on audit findings.
  • Identify, document, and promote organizational best practices focused on value-added services and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary contact for quality-related matters between the program team, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Guide the adoption of standardized processes and participate in senior leadership reviews to assess organizational impact.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality procedures and standards.
  • Prepare and deliver management reports regarding quality standards, issues, and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all program locations.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing projects of similar scope and complexity, including responsibility for internal quality control and coordination of material testing and certification.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience, preferably in multi-site environments.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card status.
  • Residence within commuting distance to Los Angeles, CA, or willingness to relocate.

 

Key Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality control and assurance standards and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and modernization.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certification as a quality engineer or auditor is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required.

 

Additional Network Skills & Los Angeles Licensing Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, MPLS, VLANs) and wireless security standards.
  • Experience with network diagnostic tools, performance monitoring software, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to design and optimize network topologies for scalability and reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Knowledge of Los Angeles licensing and permitting procedures for telecommunications and network modernization projects.
  • Current Los Angeles electrical or low-voltage systems license, or ability to obtain required credentials within the designated timeframe.

 

Physical Requirements

  • May require physical activity such as bending, pushing, twisting, and lifting; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of services across all assigned sites.

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $107,498 to $179,162. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. The candidate may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on personal and/or company performance.
