 This Lead Mechanical Operator is responsible for providing direction, guidance, motivation, and development for the Facility Mechanical Department to achieve established production goals consistent with NTT Data’s Quality, and Safety standards. They will be responsible for the coordination and performance of all facilities related maintenance and operations within assigned area of responsibility which includes staffing and training.


*This position will be on-site at a client location in Mahwah, NJ.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote, support, and enforce NTT Data standards as they apply to the Facility Maintenance department
  • Control and administer all activities in the Facility Maintenance department
  • Responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, tooling and plant facilities


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems experience (Master knowledge)
  • 4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Superintendent
  • Universal EPA Certification required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields
  • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Clean in appearance and sociable with other associates
  • Ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics, and control circuit
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of local codes
  • Conflict management skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized - able to multi-task
  • Computer skills: - MS Word, Excel, Outlook, general software navigation
  • Extensive commercial HVAC knowledge (required)
  • Moderate commercial plumbing knowledge (preferred)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Have a working knowledge of HVACR controls and sequence of operation.
  • Understand schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical plans, and blueprints.
  • Good concepts of servicing both new and older equipment (if required)
  • A willingness to learn new ideas, methods, and perspectives
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work well on a team
  • Technical aptitude
  • Client facing / expectation of clean, neat and professional appearance
