We are currently seeking a Executive to join our team in Sacramento, California (US-CA), United States (US).

NTT DATA’s Public Sector Vertical currently seeks an accomplished Executive to lead the State Health Consulting business. This is a Remote Position.  The Executive will oversee client management and sales operations for multi-million-dollar clients in Health & Human Services within State government business. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in the Consulting Services industry including market assessment/strategic planning, and a hands-on role in new revenue attainment.


To fulfill the requirements of this Executive opening, the individual performing the position should have exceptional communication skills with C-Level executives. The ideal candidate must also have a successful track record of bringing in new business through new and current relationships and ensuring client delivery teams are effective. A thorough understanding of Medicaid requirements and business rules as well as knowledge of the overall State Health & Human Services organizational structure, operating environment, major IT applications, and acquisition processes is required. A demonstrated understanding of a Health & Human Services IT and Consulting organization, priorities, and strategic direction is essential.


General Duties & Tasks:

  • Delivering general Consulting services to State government agencies
  • Demonstrate success in helping teams grow existing accounts and win new business
  • Experience delivering Medicaid consulting services within State HH&S Agencies
  • Experience leading a consulting business up to $100M annually.
  • Strong account development and management experience with demonstrated sales performance
  • Oversee, lead, hire, train and promote continuous development of business development staff
  • Extensive relationships and sales leadership experience
  • Must be able to generate or contribute to account plan formulation
  • Demonstrate successful experience working with interdisciplinary account teams (BD, Finance, and Recruiting)
  • Meet with prospective, existing, and former clients
  • Employ solution-selling techniques to identify business needs and develop customized solutions to solve client business problems
  • Demonstrate success as an executive leader in customer relationship building and management
  • Ability to oversee and supervise multiple contract engagements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in IT Services Firms and consulting with at least 10 years of management experience at a Global or National level.
  • 10+ years of experience marketing, selling and providing IT solutions or IT consulting services to state Medicaid Programs and Health and Human Service departments.  
  • Over 5 years working daily with state Medicaid Directors and Medicaid CIOs.  Strong understanding of state government agencies and their IT solutions needs.
  • Over 2 years of personally providing IT Technical Advisory, IT Project Management, IV&V or OCM consulting services to state governments.
  • Senior management experience managing IT organizations of 400 + staff and over $100 million in annual revenue.
  • Over 20 years of IT management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or computer science. Advanced degree desirable.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to identify and develop client requirements and critical success factors and negotiate large, complex solutions with the most senior levels at the client.
  • Leadership style that results in consistent IT company growth while maintaining a culture of keeping the Customer and Teamwork the top culture priorities. 
  • Strong writing skills required.
  • Frequent travel and international travel may be required.
  • US Citizen preferred
