We are currently seeking a Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota (US-MN), United States (US).

 

Role Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

- Coordinate with test sites and other team participants to plan test events and create test data

- Creating and running automation test cases

- Tracks problems and report on errors/issues that are identified

- Create/manage test plans/reports and perform testing such as unit, regression, and smoke testing adequate to ensure the released coding changes meet the requirements

- Triage issues to determine if the problem is traceable to requirements, design, configuration, testing, code defect, documentation deficiency, or knowledge gap, and to determine whether further analysis is required

- Ensure all acceptance criteria are agreed to by stakeholders and are testable and automated to the maximum extent practicable

- Assist in the testing and documentation steps for each part of the testing process

- Evaluate existing test artifacts and design test cases/scripts for new releases independently

- Work closely with the developers, business analyst, scrum master, project manager and other stakeholders to understand product specifics and to create corresponding test strategies

- Ensure all requirements’ data is under change control and is fully linked to work items that show traceability to design changes, configurable items, test cases, and test results

- Ensure test plans specify the type and scope of testing to be conducted during each product build (for example, unit, functional, accessibility, system, reliability, usability, interoperability, regression, security, and performance)

- Execute testing on both frontend and backend systems

- Participate effectively in estimation, planning, cost-of-quality, and quality risk analysis

 

Basic Qualifications:

- 8 years of relevant experience

- 2 years of Selenium framework and Cucumber tool

- Coordination and execution of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts

- Setting up test environments accurately

- Testing IT hardware, software, systems, and networks

- Writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures

- Experience with Jira and GitHub

- Identify and mitigate risks to the program, manage to cost, schedule and performance

 

Education:

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or applicable experience
